You should see who Danny signs before hitting the panic button. We're probably just as likely to win the title as finish 7th in the conference.

And how was it a mistake for Doc to start Krstic when JO and Shaq were injured? Maybe we should have started Wafer at center, or possibly played 4v5?

Who is Danny going to sign? This year we dont have any flexibilty to sign anyone besides the MLle right?  You think we can get a impact player at the 4/5 spot for what we have available? Its not going to happen you will get someone like a Scott Pollard.

I think the mistake is fairly obvious. Krstic had been starting since the trade. He played well. Jermaine hadnt played mostly all year. Then Jermaine gets Krstics pt in the playoffs. Woulndt you be angry? Now he is gone. Just another one of Docs genius ideas.

wait a sec - are you trying to say that Kristic got his feelings hurt and then left for Russia because he's mad at Doc ?  this ain't a middle school team.

your point is moot anyway - we never should have traded a key starter from a title team for a stiff and a soft wing who wilted under pressure.

If you think that Nenad Kristic was the answer to our center problems then you've elicited a hearty laugh from me.  Thanks for the humor.

The Celtics certainly need to bolster their 4/5 positions and I'm sure Ainge is aware of this.  KG can't play all 48 minutes and JO can't be counted on to be healthy for all 82 games and playoffs.  So we need backups, quality backups.  Right now I think Jeff Green and BBD are our main trade chips.  How much we can get for them, I don't know.  But we will be making a move or two plus using our MLE to get some veteran help.

Have some faith in Danny.  I wasn't a fan of the Perkins trade but he has made other moves in the past that have paid off so he deserves a little leeway.  Let's see how the picture changes before we make our final judgments on this team's chances.  The Big 3 is older yes, but they're still pretty darn good.

Krstic wasn't the fireproof option to win the series. Nonetheless, he was the only option, after JO got hurt, and a better option than a hurt, short Big Baby. Von Wafer should have seen minutes too. Doc was a deer in the headlights. The Big Three are old. The window's shut unless they are reduced to 25-30 minutes, and Doc fills in the pieces. He's shown no ability to do that.

Player's do sulk and dog it if they don't like a coach.   Grade schoolers rarely have the talent to impact a game either like a pro does.   All it takes is a little less effort and let's face not all pros give 100%.

I think he took a nice paycheck over uncertainity.

lets not forget that Kristic hurt both his knees in that Spurs game..which may have thrown him off rhythm....I think with the uncertainty of the lockout, he just took the best deal that was out there for him

he wasnt the "be all, end all" answer to us in the playoffs...but  the guy did average 9.1ppg starting for us...and could rebound pretty well....Doc shouldve played him earlier when BBD put up a stinker....instead of riding the BBD train into the ground...if anything, Kristic couldve knocked down those jumpers and provided some offense, something BBD couldnt

either way, we are still a team with 4 allstar calibar players...if Danny can add some scoring to the bench and bolster the 4/5 spot I think we can contend..we won with someone like semih erden starting at C. if we can nab someone like kwame brown I think we will be fine
