If we are talking franchise players, like Paul Pierce, then I don't see why Rondo wouldn't fit into that category. Before the Big Three era, Paul was a very good player / all-star talent, but he wasn't one of the very best players in the league. I kinda see Rondo at that point right now. Just because he has other all-stars around him doesn't diminish that fact. If he stays with the Celtics his whole career and the team stays moderately successful, there is no reason he won't be seen in the same light. Heck, already has as many championships as Paul does.
