as an old-time Celtics fan who fell in love with them during the 1969 playoffs, i will always have my favorite Celtic teams and my ideas on which teams were the best ......
the three best from each era are pretty clear: the 1973 team which would have won if not for the Havlicek shoulder injury (and i still think that group could have played with anybody), the 1986 Celtics (who i consider the greatest NBA team of all-time) and, of course, 2008.
i used to watch Russell's teams on ABC on sunday afternoons but being so young, i didn't follow them closely until the late 60's, so my question is which Russell team joins the '73/74, '86 and '08 Celts as the greatest to ever wear the Green ??
