Pretend we had zero chance at Dwight Howard (don't worry, we have piles of cash in 2012 to throw at him, so there is definitely a chance). Who can we get in the near future (this year, next year and 2013) as our future center(s) in drafts, trades and the free agencies?

Its hard for me to even fathom beyond Howard just because we don't know how the CBA will work.

Honestly if Howard won't come then we need to blow it up and rebuild around Rondo with draft picks and smart trades. If Rondo isn't on board with that and/or it is taking too long for his window as an elite PG then we'd have to move him too...

Well, if we don't get Howard, then I think we should be worried about stars, not centers.

You win with talent, not with positions.  If they can fill the other positions with better players, then they can fill the center spot with a lesser player.

Aside from Glen Davis, he might be playing in Junior High or High School right now. I wonder if Joel Przbilla might be available.

Andrew Bynum or Andrew Bogut. With Bynum we may only need 1 more all star on the wings but with Bogut we would need to have top tier players at the 2 or 3 and definitely the 4.

  • Rondo = Good
If we don't get Dwight (and we almost certainly won't), then it's full-on rebuilding time, unless there's a trade for a guy like Chris Paul available.

What a steal for NJN  ;)
The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.
