Did anyone watch the ceremony from last night?  I had it on DVR so I missed Rodman entirely.

To steal a phrase from Bill Simmons, the unintentional comedy from last night was off the charts, as long as you had a fast forward option.

Tex Winter's son, while out of his element, must have gone on for at least 15 minutes, about 14 and a half minutes too long.  Seeing the expression on the faces of the crowd, Phil Jackson and even Tex himself was pretty hilarious.  Tex, in whatever state he was in, was still more aware than his son that it went on about 10 minutes too long.

The one guy I actually wanted to hear from, Arvydis Sabonis, in his Ivan Drago voice, only lasted about 30 seconds.  I wish he was more comfortable with his English because I would have liked to hear more from him.  He seems like a good guy.

Mullin was good but he's been in the public frequently since his retirement so it wasn't a big deal.

Hopefully I catch some of Rodman's speech before they stop the replays.

Can anyone provide insight into Artis Gilmore's game?  I only saw the Rigor Artis part of his career.  Was more David Robinson, Mutombo or Chief?  It seems like he could get up pretty high and was somewhat jacked.  He looked a little like the admiral.  Was his mobility more like Dikembe?

I have always loved watching good defense, and  Dennis was one of the best I have ever seen.  He is one of those few that I couldn't take my eyes off...no matter Michail Jordan was on the floor.

In the case of the Hall of Fame, the NBA has it all over the other major sports.  They honor players for what occurred on the court instead of passing judgement and punishing them for things that occurred off the court.

Yesterday is history.
Tomorrow is a mystery.
Today is a gift...
That is why it is called the present.
