Media Take Out also has a pretty sensational version of the story, but this message board will not allow the link.

TMZ is reporting that Perk was arrested for public intoxication, but makes no mention of Rondo or S-Jax. Take it for what you will, but it sounds like Perk has had a rough couple of days.

Yea, this was on MTO too, I almost didn't believe it because it's MTO but I see it in other places too.
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

From TMZ:

Quote
NBA star Kendrick Perkins was arrested in Beaumont, TX this morning for public intoxication and disorderly conduct ... TMZ has learned.

Perkins -- who plays for the Oklahoma City Thunder -- was booked into Jefferson County Jail at around 4:00 AM. According to the jail, he posted $251 bond and was released shortly thereafter.

The charges are both misdemeanors.

According to one report, fellow NBAer Stephen Jackson was arrested as well -- but a jail employee told TMZ he was NOT taken into custody or booked on any charges.

Perkins was reportedly in town for a charity basketball game, but that was canceled after Perkins was in the hospital briefly Thursday night for what was thought to be food poisoning.

Story developing ...

That's a pretty deadly trio if they were all on the same side.  Speed, size, and experience.

You must have to be pretty darn drunk to challenge 3 NBA players to a fight.  Even just 1 takes a pair.

I heard Rondo wasn't there. Anyone know for sure if he was or wasn't?

^ I heard that Rondo was there but wasn't with Perk at the time. I read that he was chilling with Jamws Harden when all this went down.

Geez, I like perk so much it is hard to see this sort of behavior from him.

But then again, I probably am naive to think that incredible money, a group of sycophants, and uncritical adoration would not bring out bad moments in anyone .. let alone someone young.

I just hope this is an isolated occurrence, the type many of us have and regret.

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

From one of the linked article, it sounds like Perk was arrested for basically acting like a ref just T'd him up while he was drunk in public.
