For our last specialty drink Sam N Ella's will be making Kentucky's favorite cocktail....The Mint Julep



Muddle some mint with sugar, add a heap of shaved iced, a liberal pour of Kentucky Bourbon.  It starts with that bourbon kick then you get the minty sweetness.  Dery day is gonna be HUGE at Sam N Ellas...you know, as long as you don't want to bet on it or watch it...

I do love Mint JUleps, and Derby Day.

Whew, finally a few minutes to pop on and make my pick.  Since it's lunchtime and I am hungry let's go with some food.

Sam N Ella's bar food will be...The Horseshoe Sandwiich



What is this bad boy you ask?  Well, hidden under that pile of of golden-brown crinkle cut fries is a piece of texas toast covered in seasoned ground beef, bacon, onions, scallions and it is all top with a glorious cheese sauce (real cheese, not some cheese-like substance).  This is our standard Horseshoe but the possibilities and combinations are endless...chicken, andouile, roast beef, turkey, spicy cheese, chili, peppers, mushrooms...the list goes on.  Perfect any time of day whether sober, drunk or hungover.
