we'll go ahead and select the first of our house bands: Wilco

I was never a huge fan (i went the Son Volt route post-UT breakup) but was totally converted when i saw them live.

Our 3 bands are all gonna be versatile bands --- they can play loud, quiet, fast, slow, covers, jams, etc. --- you'd want to see live 3 nights in a row.

I actually still wear my Wilco A.M. t-shirt from when I saw them in 96 (I believe).  It looks like the moths attacked it with all it's holes and my wife hates it but I won't let her throw it out...it just gets more comfortable every day...

They're not my favorite band but they're one of the best I've seen live. And with my other bands I can go a little closer to my heart.

Of course, it's probably worth it with the wealth of entertainment options.

Boosh. Have you ever had the 120 minute? I could never find it up here and sadly DH is no longer distributing to Wisconsin. Great choice.
CB Draft Bucks: Chris Paul, Dwight Howard, Tobias Harris, Zach LaVine, Aaron Afflalo, Jeff Green, Donatas Motiejunas, Jarrett Jack, Frank Kaminsky, Lance Stephenson, JaVale McGee, Shane Larkin, Nick Young

DKC Bucks. Also terrible.

It'll be interesting how they handle cover charges....$90 at the door and $15 drinks, or $25 at the door and $25 drinks.

I have. It was like getting hit in the mouth with a hammer wrapped in velvet.

I agree...you don't want a "studio band" playing live in your bar.

People clearly don't appreciate the greatness of 90 Minute.  :P

I do...very solid choice IMO!

Thank you.  Can't say I'm surprised a fellow Chicagoan would have good taste in beer.

I may have a few local(ish) beers coming up later...

Just stay away from mine and we'll be all good.  ;)

I can make no such promises.

Now I'm concerned - I was hoping my midwestern local brews would be available through the end. Looks like I actually need a strategy now...

The fact that they're almost always playing 3 hours sets reflects well for you.

Boosh. Have you ever had the 120 minute? I could never find it up here and sadly DH is no longer distributing to Wisconsin. Great choice.

Had the 60 Minute.  The 120 Minute is like Bigfoot.  Rare sightings.  Never had it.

Btw, this website might be the best thing ever.  Identifies where you can find certain beers.  Sadly, its only in 5 cities right now (Chicago, San Francisco, NYC, LA, and Philly).

If I change courses and turn my bar into a gay establishment, The Velvet Hammer is going to be the name I choose.

Going to think a bit about my music selection. I have three bands in mind, and will take one next round.

I'll take my first beer, a value/sentimental choice:

Murphy's Irish Stout

You really should become a writer for the Beer Advocate with descriptions like that.

Murphy's is a great beer; in Ireland, it's so much better than the Guinness.

It's my second favorite stout, and nobody will pick my first one, I think.
