  • Yup
I don't know how I feel about the Cirque De Solei pick. My knowledge of it is admittedly limited, but it doesn't seem like a particularly social event, right?

If a sword swallowing panda bear riding a unicycle on a flaming ferris wheel isn't a conversation starter, then what is?

"Hi, how are you doing?"

Some weather we're having today, huh?
Yup

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
O'Hara's Dry Irish Stout.

A reach? Sure. It is a reach if you don't think the most drinkable, creamiest, tastiest, prettiest little stout this planet can manage has any real value.

You guys got your cirque de solie, your Roots/Prince, your TV and your internets...

I've got the best Irish Whiskey and Scotch you can find on the planet, with every vintage imaginable. I've got darts, and I've got O'Hara's Dry Irish Stout.

I, my friends, actually have a 'Pub'. Or, in the Olde English, a 'Pube'

Yes, I've got one awesome totally BA Pube, and I'm willing to share it with everyone.

I think every sporting event on TV will (also) be streaming before long - all the major Season Pass type things have an online component already.  And the NCAA tourney's been online for years.

The cable guys won't let anybody else muscle in on it, but I think they'd be more than willing to do it themselves, even for customers without a TV cable package.  You can't DVR a live stream (yet), so they get better commercial viewership, for instance.

But to my understanding, this would really put a burden on bandwidth requirements and internet speeds would take a fairly significant hit.

If I recall correctly, Mark Cuban heads a movement trying to limit streaming.

Yeah, we'll need significantly better infrastructure to have any kind of mass streaming audience.  It'll take awhile to get there realistically, but it's something a lot of money is working on.

Its also inevitable. Cable is donezo.

Room 112 (where the playaz dwell) happily selects:

Specialty Drink - Jameson & Ginger Ale

Because that is something I like to drink.

How is Prince more social than Cirque Du Soleil, though?  It's not like you'll be talking during the Prince show.  Rather, it's an event that draws people in; folks can be social before or after, but during the show, there's only so much other activity that will be going on.

Cirque Du Soleil is currently popular enough to fill seven Vegas venues, and tickets run $50+ each.  Assuming Edgar is offering these shows as part of his house entertainment, it's going to bring in a lot of folks.

Prince is... Prince, man.

But a performer like Prince people come and there's some, albeit limited, interraction w/ a performer, also, probably 19 hours of songs to dance to.

That was definitely the clear favorite in that category.
