Ideally I'd rather see them get a big but if they get a chance to land Hill or Prince they can technically play Green at the 4.

If they can't get a decent big they don't have a shot at the title anyway so they might as well go for the best talent and maybe make a run and gun team with Green at the 4 and KG at the 5, with Hill or Prince as the backup 2/3.

Sadly though this team probably won't be legit contenders.  We will be worse this year than last year, unless Dalembert or Chandler decides to come along for cheap money.

Sounds like we're shopping off the Heat's wishlist:

If the Heat cannot sign preferred choices Shane Battier, Grant Hill or Tayshaun Prince postlockout, Miami will consider Michael Redd and Tracy McGrady, among others.

Grant Hill would be a good "bridge" player, for sure.
I thought Grant didnt want to leave Phoenix or come to Boston last year?

to be honest despite of lack of size or getting only kwame

Getting Hill and Prince will make us instant contendors

and for hill wanting or not wanting I am sure wanting a ring will be maybe enough

Rondo Delonte
Ray    Hill
Pierce Prince
KG     A sock
JO     Kwame

that team can really compete for a ring..

Two seasons ago, yeah.  At this point, who knows, maybe he's changed his mind about wanting to seek a ring.

I think Redd would be a great fit, and Grant Hill are two good veterans.

All would be good pickups.

In a perfect world, we wouldn't really need them, as Jeff Green should be able to consume all the backup 2/3 minutes (with PP swinging to the 2 when he's on the floor with Green).

However, we all know it's not a perfect world and that injuries happen.

Hmmmm...pretty sure the Celtics need size. None of these three names remedy that need.

Besides, Michael Redd hasn't been healthy in like 9 years.

I think the Shaq experiment should've taught us that signing cheap, injury prone players to one year deals doesn't really help your team.

Tayshaun Prince would be nice for small forward depth. That said, I am not exactly thrilled at the prospect of picking out of the scrap heap.

We need better players than this.

While we do need bigs first and foremost, Redd wouldn't be a bad idea. Upgrade from Wafer, and if he backs up Ray he won;t log huge minutes that could increase the chance of injury. He'd be a solid backup for ray who can score
The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.

Signing Redd might decrease the probability that Delonte West returns.

then say no to Redd

 ;D

I dont think so
Redd is more like a SF
and slow as he is more right now
Hill hurt delontes time but Doc always loved to play delonte as PG
so with delonte and C plan Arroyo I can see us pretty nice there, specially with hill

My choices are Hilll and Prince as pointed before though
and yes
I can live with Kwame but as anyone I rather have chandler but hes not going anywhere after that ring

Delonte is so injury prone, I think we need to limit his minutes in the regular season anyway...

Limiting his minutes won't make him less injury-prone.  If he gets injured, I think it's more likely to be something catastrophic that makes him miss weeks or even months at a time and not some build-up of small, nagging injuries that lead to him missing a game here and a game there.

I would like Prince, the rest don't excite me.

But if they all come cheap I will take as many as we can get as long as Prince is the priority.

No man you guys cant be serious We NEED to get younger and more athletic, Michael Redd is NEVER healthy so thats a waste of a signing, Grant Hill spurned us for Phoenix so he can stay there, and Prince is past his prime and not the defender he used to be. Im hopin the undrafted dude Gilbert Brown can come and contribute asap and maybe pickin up Reggie Williams instead of Redd
