DeMarcus Cousins is the kind of big man which Al Jefferson was after his first or second year.  He's the kind of player who can get you a KG in return, not a Jeff Green.
do it

well in order to be honest
it took 7 players mr. trace mcgrady green included to get KG
not AJ
and AJ at least showed he can carry a tanking team to some victories while playing fun basketball (mchale style) cousins its just another int he pack better defense less flashy than AJ
maybe if they pack
Evans, Demarcus, and half of the kings we can give KG to them in a sign and trade
dont you think?

The point is that we bank on them being desperate to get rid of the unproven, locker room problem in Demarcus Cousins to keep Tyreke Evans. If we can get him with Jeff Green and/or BBD with a few other pieces would be perfect, after all, we effectively got Cousins for Perk.

This is a long shot.

the kings would have to be stark raving mad to do this trade.

DMC is a 20-10 machine (Zach Randolph at center, basically) in the making.

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
I didn't realize cousins could play that type of tough defense. He moved his feet very well, did a great job of using his body, and showed quick hands. Very impressive considering who he was defending and the fact that he's a rookie.

BBD is a a dime a dozen role player and Green's not to far off. You don't get top 5 lotto talent coming off a solid rookie year for that.

Would love for this to happen but I think I will hit the lottery before this happens.

Something about him still reminds me of 'Toine a little bit though...and I don't mean in a good way.

There's really zero reason for the Kings to make that move.  First, on worth alone those two have yet to prove they're worth Cousins.  Second, if they want Green or Davis so badly, they can just go out and sign them.  Davis wouldn't be hard to pry away from Boston.  And if they really loved Green enough to part with Cousins, they could simply offer him more than the C's are willing to match.

implying we could ever trade Glen Davis for Demarcus Cousins.
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

Probably not Big Baby. Maybe Jeff Green and a bunch of first rounders.

Woah woah woah. Let's not carried away now. DeMarcus isn't exactly the next coming or anything

He has the talent to be.  But you are probably right that his attitude questions will keep him from bringing back too much value.

But at the same time, his spectacular talent (he is one of the top 3 or 4 most talented young big men in the league) will force Sacramento to be absolutely blown away to even consider trading him for at least another year or two.  Trading a guy that talented for less than a superstar in return is the type of legacy no GM wants to risk.

The guy averaged 14 ppg on 43% fg and 69% ft. He also got 4 fouls and 3 Tos a game and less than a block.  He's not exactly setting the world on fire

He also averaged 8.6 rebounds per game in only 28 minutes.  And he did that at 20 years old on a team with no PG.  The kid certainly has some work to do, but the talent is undeniable, and the production is already exceptional given his age.

I would love to hear a list of 4 legit centers under 28 who were anywhere close to that kind of production at either age 20, or in their rookie season.

I stand by my statement that he is one of the top 3 or 4 most talented big men in the league.  Other than Howard and Griffin, I cannot think of any big man with a higher upside, with a legitimate chance of reaching it.

No GM is trading that away after 1 season without being blown away.
