Just thought I'd pop by and introduce myself.

I'm a big C's fan from Australia, been following the boys in green since I was about 18 back in 2006.

I've been a big visitor to the site for a year now but just never got around to signing up so thought I'd change that now haha.

Between here and realgm.com (which I am also a member of) I feel like us C's fans have a great community to be a part of.

Looking forward to some spirited talk with you all and lets really pull for this god awful lockout to be over ;)

Cheers!

Welcome aboard!

I can't say that this is the peak time to really get a sense of the blog; it's pretty slow around here these days.  It's great to have another diehard on here who is craving basketball talk even with the lockout upon us.

haha yeah I agree but I can never stop talking about the game!

Thanks all, much appreciated.....apologies, but where can I learn about the 'tommy points'? My understanding is they are awarded for 'good' posts?

Tommy Heinson, ex-Celtic Championship player, ex-Celtic championship coach and present Celtic tv announcer started giving out "Tommy Points" to players who showed extra effort during the game.  The Blog kind of borrowed the term.

Tommy Points are just a little "atta boy" or a thank you for being...funny, brilliant, understanding helpful...or   whatever you feel like thanking someone for. You can give them out by putting the cursor over the "giveth one" under the member name, and clicking. They are not worth anything concrete, they are just a way of saying thanks.  They are also used as a "payment" in some of our games.

Since there is no real definition of "Tommy Points", I hope this helps.

Cheers mate, definitely know who Tommy is and I'm used to him giving out his points on the Celtics broadcasts, just wasn't sure how it worked here so a definite thanks :)
