Darius Miles was arrested at Lambert-St. Louis International Airport after he allegedly tried to take a loaded gun on a plane, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported.

Miles was held around 3.30 p.m. on Wednesday after X-ray screening at the airport helped security officials to detect the loaded firearm.

Doesn't Miles look like Plaxico Burress a bit?

in response to the thread title.... was anyone stating otherwise?
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Back when we signed him, absolutely.  People thought he and Paddy O'Blount were going to form a nucleus of young talent to extend the window of the "big three". ;)

I thought he was going to be a very good player but I thought he was an idiot from day one.  Never liked him.

Knucklehead is fair. I do wonder why he was so adement about having a gun on his person? There is no way he forgot the process of transporting a firearm. It comes down to one of these:

1. He feels strongly about needing protection everywhere he goes. A memeber of the "I carry a gun because a cop is too heavy" crowd.

2. He was looking to hijack the plane.

3. He forgot he had it on him.

4. He didn't know it was illegal.

Is the consensus in here that it was 4? Because I'm thinking it was 3.

Gotta be 3 or 4.  Either one is ridiculous.  With all the security measures airports take nowadays there is so much little stuff to worry about like carrying on too much mouthwash or deoderant.  I have no idea how someone would forget about a gun.  Pretty crazy.

How about:

5. One of Miles' "crew" thought it would be funny to slip a loaded handgun into his carry-on.
