The man can rebound. He's a 31 year old 6'8" PF who averaged 11.5 rebounds last season in 26.6 minutes. Here's a comparison of the top rebounders:

Kevin Love: 15.2 rebounds in 35.8 minutes
Dwight Howard: 14.1 in 37.5 minutes
Andrew Bogut: 11.1 in 35.3 minutes

So comparatively, he did really good. He won't come at a huge price and could fix our horrid rebounding numbers, and cut down on KG's minutes. Between Reggie, Kevin, and JaJuan we would be all set at PF, and were already all set at PG (Delonte looks ready to resign even with the lockout) and I doubt Danny will let Jeff Green walk. That leaves a lot of money (Depending on CBA) to fix our 2 and 5 problems (The 2 isn't a big problem, could get by just with Bradley/Moore/Wafer/Gilbert Brown? backing up Ray)

He can board but he is a tweener.   If we let Big Baby walk why replace him with another 6'8" defensive liablity?

Agreed - he would be an awesome guy to take Jermaine's spot while he spends the season at home nursing injuries

A backup 4 is a low priority compared to finding a center and another 3 point shooter.

If Evans would sign for the minimum, go for it.

I'd rather chase centers like: Kurt Thomas, Wilcox, Pryzbilla, Jeff Foster, Juwon Howard, Dalembert, Kwame Brown, etc. Not very exciting names. But The C's need more than just J O'Neal holding down the paint.

Kwame Brown is overlooked because he never reached his potential, but he has quietly become a very solid NBA center.

Last year he averaged about 8 points and 7 rebounds in 26 minutes per game, while playing excellent low post defense.  He is never going to be a star, but he would be an excellent pickup for what the C's need.

I've always liked Evans.  He is always in attack mode.

Reggie Evans and Kwame Brown should be the 2 F/A  targets this offseason..
Doc's gonna tell you what you need to hear, not what you want to hear.

Yeah iknow, my username is Kendrick Perkins and my ranking is Jeff Green. Ironic huh?

The man can rebound.
That he can. Too bad he can't do any other stuff like, you know, play basketball.

I agree. That'd pretty much give us a solid frontcourt if everyone stays healthy, but we might want to get another big who can play 10-12 minutes a game. Or Big Baby (Would be kind of redundant if we got Evans, but if he wants to come back at a reasonable price, why not.)

For the record, I think Big Baby is a significantly better player than Reggie Evans.  He does not rebound as well, but he does everything else at a significantly higher level.

With that said, if they can't afford to keep Baby (or just have grown too tired of his act to keep him around), Evans would be on the list of backup options.

I would put him well behind guys like Landry, Martin, Humphries and McRoberts, and probably just below Chuck Hayes (who is similar, but a better defender).

Ultimately though, it is going to come down to money, and I have a feeling Evans is going to be paid a bit more than he is worth, because he puts up such crazy rebounding numbers...and that makes him a relatively unlikely target.

Love Reggie Evans always have. But he purely a rebounder, and thats about it. He has zero offensive game oher than hustle buckets or the occasional putback on the offensive glass. But when he is on the floor the team is usually playing 4 on 5 from the offensive side of things. Would certainly help with boards but if we already have an offensively challenged bench then im not sure how I feel about adding him.

Another undersized power forward isn't what we need.

Plus, depending on how restrictive the new CBA is, Baby may be forced back here again anyway.
