I am intrigued by the mention of Bill Laimbeer as a possible replacement since he was one of my favorite non-Celtics of his era and he won a title in three out of his seven years as a head coach in the WNBA.
The reality, however, is that Bill Laimbeer is one of the most hated players in Celtics' opponents history. Personally, I would never want to see him on the Celtics' bench ... too many memories of dirty plays landed on Larry, Kevin, and Robert.
But I absolutely want to see the Celtics have a Laimbeer-like player.
