2. Magic -- Paul and Jennings on the same team?  Seems like overkill to me.  Wasn't Jason Terry on the Bulls?  The backcourt for this team seems like a bunch of talent put together that doesn't really mix well in my opinion.  The frontcourt would have serious defensive issues.

While I realize putting Jennings behind CP3 is a bit odd, it has a point. I would use him as our scoring PG off the bench (despite average shooting), he can be more effective to a team as a straight scoring option at backup over his starting role with above average PG/scoring skills. And yes JET is on the bulls via trade with me. As for my backcourt, first sentences aside, where's the problem? CP3 is not derrick rose or westbrook, so having JRich at 2 and Brandon Roy as his back up (Webster too) for more scoring isn't a problem to me.

Just from a value standpoint, I think Jennings would be of greater value to other teams that need to fill more minutes at PG and you could play a lesser player for those 8-12 minutes who still brings that same thing you're looking for from Jennings - instant offense.  A guy that comes immediately to mind is our own Aaron Brooks, but others are out there as well.  There would be very little overall drop off from Jennings to Brooks since the minutes played is going to be so little to begin with.  This trade will make no sense because they aren't on the same team, but a trade like Jennings + Bass for Brooks + Carl Landry would be a good gain for you if you could find a team who needs backup PG minutes and has a crowded front court.

Uh ohhhhhh.....the big boys are almost done with their work. just 2 picks left, and I'm gonna make em count!

Things to do today:

1) Cement depth in the frontcourt: Check

2) ?

3) Profit.

TPs if you can defend STAT not being the dumbest nickname in the NBA

Hmmmm.

SuperBees?

He had it tattoed on his body too! SuperBees.

At least Stoudemire is the premier scorer at his position (hence the STAT). Ain't nothin Super about Beasley except his THC levels.

All players I love.  I advocated drafting almost every single player on this team at some point.  But something about this team just don't seem to mesh for me as a true contender.  I don't know what it is.  I see it being like one of those recent Trailblazers teams that has a good amount of talent, a ton of likeable players, no real flaws, but you just know (at least I think) will never win a title due to... something.  Maybe lack of elite talent and championship experience?

Granger and Aldridge are both top 5 scorers for their respective positions.

That's a good place to start for 'elite' talent.

For my money, one of the top teams in the East.  Certainly in the Southeast division.

Starting guards are slow of foot and the two backup guards are both gunners.  One of them will not get enough touches.  I would try and shake that up a bit.

Cousins now works since you got very good insurance on him (Haywood)

Would like to see a quicker PF off the bench to allow Gasol play some C.

I think the sentiment behind Raja Bell was a good one, but at the same time, to put it in Sandlot terms, 'They say the Jet's lost a step or two'.

This year was his worst 3pt shooting season in 7 years or something, his defense took a step back, and he became kind of a liability because of it. Not that he was a trainwreck defensively, but just that his defensive play and 3pt shooting was no longer enough to justify a starting spot.

Check out his on the court/off the court #'s:

http://www.82games.com/1011/10UTA6.HTM#onoff

They scored more and held opponents to less with Bell off the court.
