The soon-to-be FA claims he's not looking for the money - just to win a championship. What say you?

I'd take him as role player, maybe a spark off the bench, if it still leaves enough cap space for a more significant signing.

Richardson may want a championship, but he's still an above-average shooting guard who should be starting in the NBA.  He'd be a better fit for a team that actually has room for a SG in their starting lineup, like the Bulls.

If he really wanted to start Allen is willing to come off the bench...

I'd take him but would prefer a guy would can play the 2-3 and give both Allen and PP rest.

He's going to Bulls, he wants to start, and Bulls need him, also, they have more cash. Let's sign michael jordan, i like this kid, he got some rings.. mvp awards.. and he is VERYY athletic. i know hes old, but, cmon, a comeback would be awesome, put Shaq and Sheed on the roster too. rebounding.. Dennis Rodman anyone?

lol.
Doc's gonna tell you what you need to hear, not what you want to hear.

Yeah iknow, my username is Kendrick Perkins and my ranking is Jeff Green. Ironic huh?

I'd take him as role player, maybe a spark off the bench, if it still leaves enough cap space for a more significant signing.

He's basically signaling to the Bulls that he'd be happy to take the MLE (assuming there is one) and start for them.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love Jason Richardson coming off the bench for the Cs.  But, if the Cs and the Bulls both called and offered the MLE, which would you take?  The clear choice is the Bulls, who have a much longer window at this point than the Cs.

Agreed -- Chicago are the team he is going to if he signs for the MLE. Dallas would be a possibility too (replacing D.Stevenson in the starting lineup).

Boston just doesn't have enough available minutes to offer J-Rich even if he was willing to take a major pay cut and accept the MLE.

I actually think that starting J-Rich with the Bulls would hurt their defensive tenacity. And I don't know if he's worth spending the MLE. He's not THAT much of a missing piece.

That's why I think he's a good bench addition.

The bulls don't have a window with that team. Rose played out of his skin all year and when they got to the playoffs they were super shakey. J rich won't convince me further.

Orlando defended just fine with him. Richardson would be a huge boost to the Bulls, he's a much better defender than Korver and also a better offensive player.

I heard he lost his hops too. Pretty sure he banged Nash's wife and that's why he got sent out of Phoenix. Usually more than few reasons when you see a guy get trade several times.

If Richardson is willing to come to the C's he would be an excellent option.  I am not sure he would pass up starting roles in a place like Chicago for that though.

Well, if that's the case, delonte and richardson should both have that "intimidation factor" on certain players.  sucks for nash, not sure if this rumor has been confirmed or not.
Truuuuuuuuuth!
