ESPN Boston is doing daily segments called "Good in Green". Just wanted to post this for anyone who hadn't seen it yet.

espn.go.com/blog/boston/celtics#

There is the link for it, not sure if it will work (I'm on a phone) but so far they've covered Michael Redd, Kurt Thomas, and Chuck Hayes. Enjoy!

If the link doesn't work, google ESPN Boston, and click on the celtics emblem near the top of the page.

I like Chuck Hayes, but not on my team.  I say no thank you to a 6'6'' center, even as a back up.

As for Kurt Thomas, I really don't like the guy, and he's very old, but he might be the best we can do as far as free agent bigs for the minimum.

Michael Redd will probably get a chance at a starting gig somewhere (maybe Chicago, if they don't sign J.R. Smith or Jason Richardson), and I don't think I'd want to rely on him to be healthy for the season anyway.  I'd rather go with Delonte / Wafer / Bradley / Moore and see what we get out of them.

Would rather have the certainty of having Wafer than the uncertainty of Redd.

Indeed.  If Wafer can play for most of the season the way he did in short stretches of last season, he'd be a nice role player.  Redd could be better than that, or completely useless.

I'll go with Wafer, especially since there's the chance he can contribute in the years to come since he's young.  If he doesn't work out, one or more of Delonte, Bradley, and Moore should give us what we need.

False choice.  There must be a better option c.

Maybe this is a little what the lockout is all about. I mean I can't blame an owner for thinking "yeah, I'll just keep my money" on this kind of choice

Remember that both players would probably be getting minimum deals so in essence, what more can you really expect for the minimum?

Besides needing platers at the 5 we need 3 point shooting off the vench...something we've been missing since trading house. Last year all we had was allen and pierce. Delonye and green can hit the 3 but they're not as consistent. Doc said a big reason for the mavs beating the heat was the 3 ball.

Considering we all gave baby a chance for so long considering his size limitations, ditching the idea of Hayes so quickly could be a mistake. Especially at a good price.

how much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck was chris bosh?

It wouldn't hurt to give the guy a non-guaranteed vet min contract, but I suspect he will command more than that if he wants to go to the highest bidder.  He's still young so I don't see him willing to take the year to year vet min contacts just yet; unless that's his only option.

Undrafted rookie free agent or NBDL all-star.  Right?  Maybe I'm wrong

Rajon Rondo and Dwight Howard. lol, but seriously..

Imagine Rondo Tossing oops to Howard..
Add a sniper, a bench.. championship coomiiiinnnng

Anyways, the duo of Dwight/Rondo would combine explosive offense, DEFENSE on a very high level, and just two awesome personalities.

This is the Celtics' answer to Fakers' Shaq/Kobe. Lets just hope they do it the Celtic way, without a feud. lol ;D
Doc's gonna tell you what you need to hear, not what you want to hear.

Yeah iknow, my username is Kendrick Perkins and my ranking is Jeff Green. Ironic huh?

Now they're talking Alexis Ajinca. Wouldn't mind him behind Jermaine, with Jermaine behind someone who can start.

There may be a better option c, but that doesn't mean that such an option absolutely must exist.
