PG - Baron Davis
SG - Stephen Curry (Davis/Curry would flip on D, or something), Beaubois
SF - Batum, Thad Young, Sam Young
PF - Dirk, Favors, Thad Young
C - Lee, Camby

So Favors/Davis are on the block, I'd like to pair the two of them up for a legit starting PG or SG.

I would lineup like so ...

PG - Steph Curry
SG - Nic Batum
SF - Thad Young Sam Young
PF - Dirk
C - Camby

David Lee as a sixth man like he used to play with the Knicks back when Isiah was the coach.

Baron Davis the backup PG. Playing 10-15 minutes a night. Sam Young Thaddeus Young can backup the three and maybe play a 5 or so minutes at the four if needed. Himself and Baron can split the backup SG minutes depending on matchups.

Favors and Beaubois = third stringers

Edit: No sorry, start Sam Young and keep Thad Young off the bench.

Favors and Beaubois = third stringers

I like Lee as the 6th man, and agree that Curry is the better option at the point, but Young is more effective as an undersized 4/3 rather than a starting 3/4, and I'm not convinced that Batum can play the 2 effectively, especially when his length and defense make him a better asset (IMO) than Young at the 3. Keeping Baron starting on a high-scoring team will keep him engaged, which seems to be a universal concern.

I don't think Jordan is a plus defensive player. I also don't think he's a good match for Ibaka. Both of them thrive on being freed up to weakside shot block. Not a good match, though in a few years I think they could be a top defensive pairing they are not there yet. Especially Jordan....

Jordan isn't a great "on-ball" defender, but that doesn't concern me that much.  THere really aren't a lot of offensive centers that would cause a matchup concern here other than DHoward, maybe Al Jeff.  But what they WILL do is bother anyone who gets into the paint.  Between those two and Darko i have 3 of the top 6 blocks/48 players in the game.  No dribble drive is safe.

I don't think its a good idea to have Steven Jackson as the leader of your team. Too volatile and not in a good way.

Jackson's issues are numerous, but are in his past.  He's been a quiet leader over the past few years.  Kept his cool on bad Bobcats teams and lead them to the playoffs and played hurt a few years ago.  Think of him what you will, but his charisma and toughness are a much needed pairing with the more soft spoken natures of martin/ibaka.  I'm extremely excited about this lineup.
