This is just a comment made in passing, so take it for whatever it's worth:

Is it tampering for Kobe to say that. I like how it mentioned Kobe wanted him in LA but it doesn't say how he knows Boston was interested.

I for one really like him, however I'm not willing to pay him the MLE if it exists.

Sign and trade Jeff Green for Pietrus and Robin Lopez! I don't care what the salaries are, use black magic if you have to.

Based on the comments, it sounds like he is basing this on compliments he has gotten from players, rather than true interest from the teams.

Although, I am sure there would be interest from the C's in him, but it all comes down to price.

If there wasn't a lock out preventing this I think it'd be a great move for the C's.  Good shooter, very athletic, and a hard nosed defender.  Just what the C's need.

Are there no rules against tampering if there's no CBA in place?

I would absolutely love a deal like this.  I've always been a huge Pietrus fan.  Pretty sure S&T's can't be done like this though?

Eh...worth a small contract. Doesn't really fill a position of need though and an average shooter with a poor FT percentage. Definitely better players out there.

That actually does make a lot of sense for both sides.

Get ready for a lot more sense making deals.

This team needs a pietris defender/shooter like posey. We most make a run at him plus he's athletic.

tp for using the term "dunce"...lol,its been yrs.since ive heard anyone use it.As far as Robin Lopez's talents he could be servicable as a #3 c.Although his health might be a concern. With being as young as he is i wouldn't expected the amount of absences from the court due to injuries he's had.

Pietrus is one of a handful of sf ive witness who has given Lebron some problems when motivated.I feel he needs to work on his midrange game so he doesn't depend on the 3pt.shot as much.

Pietrus would be great in the old TA's role, but I doubt he would take 7th-8th man kind of money.

I'm not sure I would be interested in Robin Lopez, I'd rather have Semih.
