I deplore the idea of having a lost NBA season. Especially since the timing is just terrible for the Celtics. Ray Allen and KG will have their contracts expire and will retire under a best case scenario or sign up with our rivals and come back to screw Grou$beck who I am now considering putting him in the same class of owners as Ga$ton with his remarks about willing to lose a season to get what he wants.

Will a 33% cut in salaries translate into a 33% cut in ticket prices? a 33% rate reduction to NBA-TV.com? a 33% cut in NBA merchandise? I seriously doubt it.

I am so disgusted with the NBA, the owners, and the players for letting it come down to a lockout. The fan is getting royally screwed. Let us make a new plan and talk up something else in here.
The beatings will continue until morale improves

I'm sure Wyc doesn't want to lose a season, but as with all contract disputes, he has to take sides with the NBA/owners stance. This season could be our last true shot at a championship, and with the way he has pumped money into the team, I don't think he is that desperate to maximize profits.

With that said, you are right. As fans, will we see a decrease in tickets and merchandise, as well as the NBA League Pass? Doubtful.

The NBA, love it or hate it, is in such a terrible state that, unfortunately, I think we are going to have to live with this every 10-15 years, or at least until Stern is gone.

If you stopped coming to the Blog, I would miss you, and your humor, Q.  There is lots going on here and maybe we can all help each other get through the lockout, assuming it goes on very far into the season.  (I can't believe all the participants would be so foolish to cut off thier noses to spite their faces...but I guess stupidity has no bounds.)
Yesterday is history.
Tomorrow is a mystery.
Today is a gift...
