All this means is if the strike goes long term and Oden gets himself healthy in the meantime then Portland can match whatever someone offers him. If he doesn't seem healthy and someone offers him something they can pass. And worse case scenario, he takes the QO, they have one last year to see if he will ever be healthy for a whole season.

Smart move by Portland.
Doesn't impact the Cs much, as this was the most likely scenario IMO.

FA Center targets with the MLE remain Brown or Dalembert (if the Cs plan to use the entire MLE and kill a bit of flexibility next year).
