He isn't good enough to be a backup. I'd rather sign Fesenko, at least he has defensive potential.

JO definitely has potential to be our starting Center and I would be perfectly happy with that. And Id be fine with him splitting the time with Aaron Gray.

I'd be fine with Gray. If the new CBA doesn't handcuff Boston any worse than it already is, the biggest chip it has for luring a free agent is the MLE, but I can't see any of the better FA bigs, such as Dalembert, settling for the MLE. If I'm wrong, and a guy like Dalembert signs at a lower price for whatever reason (such as a legitimate chance at winning a title), I'll be pleasantly surprised. Otherwise, Boston's options are sparce, and you could do a lot worse than Gray. I watched every game of the Lakers-Hornets series, and he did pretty well. At worst, he's a legitimate 7-footer who takes up a ton of space (dude's 270 pounds). Then again, Kwame Brown's the same weight and only an inch shorter, and his career point and rebound averages are nearly double those of Gray (6.8 pts, 5.5 reb vs. 3.6 pts, 3.5 reb). But I guess I'd take either. We need bodies. Big bodies. Lots of 'em.
There are two kinds of people: those who say to God, 'Thy will be done,' and those to whom God says, 'All right, then, have it your way.'

You don't have a soul. You are a Soul. You have a body.
