Love the JJ Johnson pick; but not the Moore pick. Especially when you see all the other players who went undrafted. Of those the the C's looked at Jamie Skeen of VCU and David Lighty stand out; however am sure there will good options for many some of these players. Any others people like?

I'd add Malcolm Thomas to that list. Why not bring them to camp just to see.

not that I think any non-drafted rookies will make this team, but if they're going to invite any cannon-fodder to what will pass for training camp after the lockout, then I'd like to see them invite Delroy James out of URI as well.  Athletic SF that can score and defend.  He'd have as much chance to make this team as Moore will (which I don't think will happen).

Skeen went undrafted?! I was hoping the Cs would take him. I don't see Moore playing at all, and would much rather see Skeen have a chance.

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
I'm on with Jamie Skeen. The dude is a blue collar basketball player, something the C's could use.

I think Lighty is participating in the Hawks FA camp this week (which doesn't mean they'll sign him).  I also wouldn't mind seeing the Celts look at Mike Dunigan and Greg Smith 2 big men, and also Scotty Hopson as a SF type...

We have a lot of slots; but may be tough to convince young players that they will have a chance to make the team. Not a good year to be reconstituting your roster with a lockout looming. With JJ Johnson makes the need to muscle down low even more pressing.

Seen posts on Matt Howard; but with JJ Johnson lacking bulk, not only does it make BBD look better as a rotation player (paired with Johnson & Green); but it really makes the need for a "True Big" even more pressing.

Jamie Skeen reminds me of a poor man's Larry Johnson. I like his post moves, jumper and build. He and Green could man the 3 and 4 simultaneously or alternately. David Lighty on the other hand does not inspire me much on his game but he's good.

Perhaps we could also add Pitt's Gary McGhee. A wide bodied center, mobile, 6'11", with good footwork rebounder. His game seems to resemble that of a combined Charles Oakley and Ben Wallace. He finishes strong to the rim. Quicker and taller by an inch than Perk. He played alongside Gilbert Brown who seems to be coming over to Boston as reports say.
