Too bad we don't have the salary cap room now; David West is about to become a free agent.  I love his game. He destroys Celtics when we play him.

Yeah, David West would be the perfect addition. He or KG could start, and in end-of-game situations KG can run the 5 with West at the 4.

My other pipe dream is a (healthy) Caron Butler....one of these guys and a big in the Dalembert range and we're back in the finals.

I'm not really jonesing for a guy who could be out until January recovering from a torn ACL, especially considering that he might not be up to full speed until the season after.

West would be a poor addition if you think the Celtics have a one-year window and you are trying to maximize that.
