Is there any reason why Johnson won't be able to wear the 25 he wore at Purdue?

The Celtics have retired so many numbers that it's hard to keep track, but I don't remember seeing 25 in the rafters. 

25 is KC's number.

Tak.  My pre 80s history isn't what it should be.  At some point all Celtics will have to wear jersey numbers from the 60s through the 90s.

I can only remember some of the obvious ones, so no worries, min ven.

that's because there are hardly any good numbers left. every new player that comes to the celtics have limited choices. nobody wants high numbers like in baseball, basketball, or hockey.

The use of the 4 and 86 by Krstic and Johnson was, IMO, because of the Perkins trade while the team was on the road. These were the only numbers available (Hence the #8 used by Green due to Marquis's trade).
