I don't watch much college hoops and I'm sure the kid's got flaws, but the youtube videos coupled with his performances at the draft combine make me feel pretty confident that Jajuan Johnson is an elite athlete.

Moore is an undersized two that lacks explosive athleticism.

Tough to make it in the NBA with that type of physical disadvantage. Not optimistic.

I prefer Johnson to Faried and Brooks.

Can't understand the fascination with Faried. Is Reggie Evans that popular amongst NBA fans?

Faried's athleticism is what has everybody excited about his defensive potential.  He's got Stephane Lasme's athleticism with Evans' rebounding ability. Offensively, that makes him at least a threat to finish above the rim (Evans is a poor finisher). Defensively, while
hHe's never played real NBA defense because of his conference and Morehead's dogmatic adherence to that same zone, he's got much more potential than Evans ever had.

His arms are very long, he's built pretty solid and he has a very aggressive mentality to compensate for his lack of height/athleticism.  I think he has a lot of similarities with Roger Mason, Jr.: similar size and build, streaky 3-point shooter, not a real PG but can be very effective as the ball-handler in pick and roll situations, capable of putting in solid work defending both guard positions.

I think he has a decent chance of sticking.

a nice tidbit from draft express about Moore's ball handling, which can certainly set rookies back in terms of playing time:

E'Twaun Moore grades out well statistically, as his 1.0 PPP overall ranks fourth of all wings, and he's doing it on an impressive 17.6 possessions per game. Moore is the most sure-handed of all wings, as his 9.2% TO% is easily best in the class, especially for someone using that many possessions.

Moore is excellent in the pick-and-roll, where his 0.97 PPP ranks second overall. Moore's 7.7 jump shots per game are third most in the class, though his 1.0 PPS on them ranks just eighth. He makes a solid 40% of his 3.8 catch and shoot jumpers per game (4th), and 38% of his pull-ups (4th).

There's a case to be made that Moore is one of the most underrated players in this draft class, and his showing in this sampling does nothing to discourage that notion.

As for Ibaka... JaJuan Johnson is not athletic and explosive. For NBA standards, his athleticism is average. He has the athleticism you'd expect from a guy much bigger than him. That's why he dropped to the late 1st round in such a weak draft.

You are drastically underselling JaJuan's athleticism. He has one of the highest tested verticals for a big man in the history of the pre-draft camp measurements. He also has one of the fastest sprints for a big in the history of the camp.

Absolutely should not underestimate this guy. He is super speedy and is much quicker than Green. His leaping ability was not tested that much in college. However he can get up there and is scrappy.

Love this pick.

Can't wait to see him and Green running the lanes. Only question is who plays PF. Green is bigger and has more experience with NBA Bigs.
