Atlanta wants Kanter, apparently.

Don't see how this helps Minnesota (Love, Beasley, and Smith?), but stranger things have happened, I suppose.

I think they'll need a third team to make it work.

From the article:

Quote
Under the salary cap, the Wolves could absorb the $13 million-plus owed him next season without sending back corresponding contracts.

This is strangely worded. Why mention next season? Would this be finalized when the new CBA and next year's contracts are in effect?

Otherwise, Who is right: a third team, or some outgoing salary from Minnesota, is required.

Seems odd, but isn't Josh Smith just a better version of Williams.  I mean if Minny is going to select Williams, why wouldn't they just make this trade?

I think Love and Smith would be fine together, so if they could move Beasley they should do that.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

The problem is how much you're paying Williams compared to Smith.

Plus I can't imagine Smith would be happy in Minnesota.
