I'm starting to like this Minnesota Team?

I need a bath.

You've been Kahn-verted?

I wonder if Philly would have to throw in their 16th pick.

I wonder who would be going from Minnesota to Philly to make it work.

I think they still have their trade exception leftover from the Al Jefferson deal

I thought they used that already on Eddy Curry.

If they do, its not on ESPN's trade machine

Darko, Webster, and the #2 for Iggy and the #16.

In a hypothetical trade offer, I say Philly argues to hold onto the #16 b/c of length of Darko's contract, but inevitably caves. Good deal for both.

I don't like it for Minnesota. Too much, too soon.

Bringing in a guy like Iggy will give them too large a boost to their W-L column and consequently limit their ability to improve down the road (lesser draft picks, less cap flexibility). The core to their roster isn't ready for a guy like Iggy.

Their lack of patience will doom that club to another period of successive first round defeats.

Maybe so....But....

They need to take a step forward or people are going to stop trekking through sub-zero temps to see them lose night after night.

Iggy's got 3 years left on a deal that pays him about $15M a year.
I think Philly is in the process of being sold, however, which complicates the issue from their point of view.

I have no idea who Im thinking of.  I could've swore after the Heat knocked them out this year he basically made comments saying he was leaving.  Im gonna have to do some research...

Iggy quote from after being knocked out;

Here was his first attempt: ‘I expect to be back in the NBA,’ Iguodala said after the team’s season-ending loss to the Miami Heat in the NBA playoffs. ‘It’s always been a dream of mine to play ball. This has been a great ride so far, not just with the Sixers, just playing basketball in general. I’m really looking forward to getting some rest this summer, just letting my body recuperate and get back to 100 percent, and I’m really looking forward to next year being my best year in the league.’ Not his best with the Sixers, but his best in the league. When asked to clarify his answer – considering it was anything but clear – Iguodala continued down the same fuzzy path. ’I think it’s something I’ve always dreamed about, playing in the league,’ Iguodala said. ‘Once I got here, I think I’ve always wanted to be in one place, not having to move around a lot, being comfortable in one spot.’ Iguodala never actually said he didn’t want to return to the Sixers. He danced around igniting an aggressive offseason controversy, but he tossed in a cup of passive-aggressiveness for confusion. Iguodala has not asked Sixers management for a trade, but the team will be looking to trade him this summer.

I guess he's not a free agent, but he's made it pretty clear he's not the happiest person in Philadelphia

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
I was hoping that he would have ended up with clippers.

I think thats a much better fit.

I also think it would result in another first rounder for us. :P

I'd like this pick for the Wolves.

Rubio/Iggy/Beasely/Love/???
then Wes Johnson...

that team will be improving nicely regardless, but this could really make a difference.

I think it is a decent trade for both teams.
I don't think it gets done, though, bc of Philly's ownership situation.

Also, I don't think Darko is on that bad of a contract.  He gets ~$5M a year for 3 more years.

I'm not a fan of Darko, but for a passable backup 7 Foot C 4-5 million is about market rate.
