No idea how much substance there is to this rumor. The article just says...sources say. You never know with these kind of things if the reporter is on to something or not. I just figured since there have barely been any rumors floating around on who the Cs may be targeting I'd throw this out there.

At least we are looking for a center? I'm not quite sure how I feel about TRADING UP for Vucevic. If he fell to us I would be okay with it I guess. Not much height in the draft that we have the potential to grab. I feel like we need a defensive, athletic center. A lot of what I heard is that this kid isn't very physical.

Danny has probably called multiple teams from 14-24 to see what they might be asking in return for their picks, that way if his guy is there he knows who is willing to make a deal and what it will take to close it.

If the Cs can move up just using the #25 and $$ then im all for it. Vucevic seems like a similare player to nenad.

I'm looking at that Wizard pick. They already have a top 6 pick and another pick at the top of the 2nd round, plus Danny successfully bought Bill Walker off of them with straight cash homie.

If Vucevic gets past Knicks he should make the move up for him, if not just let Knicks grab him.

Danny hasn't seemed this excited about a big guy since Robert Swift.

Yes, that 2004 rumor punked Seattle into selecting Swift, letting Al Jeffe fall to Ainge.

I wonder who DA is trying to punk this year, and for which player?  Probably trying to punk NY into selecting Vucevic, so that Jeremy Tyler is still available when the Cs pick.

Not saying I want Tyler, just thinking out loud about what Ainge's intentions are...

Ah, I figured it out.
Danny is hoping the Knicks will pick Vucevic instead of Faried, then Danny will trade into the Wizards spot to select Faried.  Mark it down.

Faried is rumored for Portland.  I'm not sure if there's anyone in this draft that's worth moving up for.  Buying a pick, absolutely.  Giving up an asset other than cash to get someone that won't see the court this year, not really.

Faried.. The anti-Big Baby. Dude's a man. Strong, athletic, heart and passion, finishes strong in traffic, good rebounder.

It didn't take me long to fall in love with him. I'd be more than ok with him. With the recent success of undersized bigs, though.. I don't know if we'll get the chance at 25. Any years prior to this one, Danny probably would of been able to make him another great second round pick.

Yeah, I've seen the Portland rumors, which is why Danny would need to leapfrog them to get the Wizards pick in my scenario.

When I wrote "trade into" the pick, I had in mind buying the pick outright, or packaging the Cs existing pick with cash or a second round pick to move up.

I will never understand why Parker's name is always out there as a potential trade from San Antonio. He is still fairly young and playing very well, if they get rid of him they will have a very hard time replacing him.

Its the same reason that Rondo keeps coming up in trade talks and rumors, he's their most tradable piece.

Manu's the better player, but he's older, and they're not trading Tim Duncan. Given that Manu can handle the ball alongside George Hill they can also paper over his loss if they get talent back to make up for it at another position.
