I know many people on here are willing to send baby packing!  But if he can be had for cheap, I think him and Dwight Howard would be a nice front line moving forward.  Like Shrek and Donkey...

Rondo
MLE JR Smith
Green
Glen
Howard

With Paul, Ray and KG coming off the bench..that would not be a shabby line up in two years.  Glen can spread the floor, play descent D and has championship pedigree. Is he a typical PF..NO.  Undersized yes, but if any center in the league can play help D to minimize that Howard can.  I'm not in a hurry to ship out Big Baby.

Bad, selfish attitudes aren't cheap at any price. He needs to take his blankey and go. I'd be thrilled if there was a sign and trade in there somewhere, but if not, so be it.

I'm not saying no to a sign and trade is out of the question.  But it would be a shame if he walked for FA and we got nothing in return.  He is a 6th man candidate, and possible starter on a playoff team.  Those guys are not a dime a dozen.

I think any big looks good playing next to Dwight (even a stubby, selfish one). It's no reason to keep him around on a long term contract in my opinion.

If i were Danny i'd worry more about sitting Glen down and and seeing if he's fully commited to a title run in 2012 because he sure as hell wasnt playing like he wanted any part of a trophy these past playoffs. If he's willing to change his ways and put the team before himself then awesome! sign him up for a another one year deal. maybe this time a contract year will make him play with some urgency

If he ponys Danny around and wants to test the free agency market then go for it. He can easily be replaced by guys like Carl Landry or Chuck Hayes who would also look great playing alongside D12 if he actually does come here next summer.

This all reminds me of Tony Allen.  3 to 4 million for 2 to 4 years is okay with me.  Finding proven talent for that is hard to come by.  Every year he has improved his game.  He is not the only Celtic to vanish in the playoffs. 6th man candidate, lead the league in charges and sacrificed his body....Had cap at 62 Million, 25th pick in the draft.  Holes in the Big rotation and he knows the system, and when he is in the spot light he has stepped up in big games.  Sign me up....

He's neither.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

1.  He is neither a consistent 6th man of the year kind of guy, nor is he starter quality on a playoff team.

2.  If he didn't know his role this past year, or how to mentally "be there" when you're just a bench guy on a playoff team (the same thing he was 3 years prior), then sitting him down this offseason would be a waste of time.  He didn't get it, he won't get it.

if baby can't get his act together then it's a shame. A lot of guys in the NBA would kill to be in his position-getting major minutes on a championship contending team while playing alongside 3 hall of famers and one of the elite PG's in the NBA. Don't know what his problem is. money?

If we want to contend for a championship, we need everyone to be on the same page as far as their roles go and be willing to sacrifice for the team...from Davis' recent comments it doesnt sound like he is willing to do that..

if he can however, he can offer the celtics alot and I wouldnt be opposed to offering him a contract...but he's likely going to leave for more $$, bigger role, more years like Tony allen..

could we do a S+t to NOH for carl Landry?

I just love this.  You view Danny as the arbiter of good intentions here - the same Danny who gave up on a potential championship season this last year when he made The Trade?!!!!!

Pure scapegoating.  That's ALL this Baby Hate is.

It's just amazing to me to look at all you folks soooooo eager to get rid of Baby, and then you'll turn around and complain that we don't have any Bigs and that we desperately need to get Bigs.
And then you'll dream up some trade or draft combination to bring us some Bigs who are at least as iffy as Baby is.

All this so you can blame someone other than Danny for what happened in 2011.
