that he wasn't mentally there this season? I know, I saw how you weren't the same BBD when we needed you most! Now he wants to work on it to be better for some other team?

It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

That might well be the first time I've ever heard someone say that they were doing mental exercises to prepare for free agency.

Try not to strain anything, big guy.

I hope no one has been surprised. The signs were there since the beginning of the season when he was complaining about not knowing his role. I tried to defend him I did, but now I can't. He needs to go this off season and go as soon as possible. He represents nothing of what a Celtic or a teammate on a championship team. If you want to win a championship sometimes you have to sacrifice and do things that you don't want to in order to help the team. Does he think Jet likes playing off the bench? How about Manu or Lamar? How about he looks at his HOF teammate and learn some class and doing things for the team.

Please let him go and I definitely won't miss him. He's lucky to have played with the players he has and is lucky to learn from some of them. Players would kill to learn offense from Ray and even Paul  and defense from KG and would kill to have a players coach like Doc. He's ungrateful and he needs an experience on a team that's not going anywhere to know how lucky he's been.

Can you stop talking please? Big Baby is a solid player. He disappears for one playoff and people act like he's horrible. He was a strong candidate for 6th man early in the season! I'm pretty sure he can run faster than you.

Well put. I completely agree. Most of the NBA would jump off a cliff to play a season with 3 hall of famers and one of the best passing PGs in the game. TP.

umm no I won't stop talking, this is a message board you see, you are allowed to have an opinion here sorry .

He shoots every time the ball touches his hand, he says he doesn't know his role on the C's last year? Really ? he's playing behind KG what does he think he should start instead of KG?

He was getting starters mins most of the year anyway playing about 30 mins pers game, yet keeps saying he wants to be a starter. He is very childish , gets into fights with his friends and breaks his thumb, missing the first few months of the season a few years ago.

He fired his trainer mid way through the season and gained about 15-20lbs after the new year, they said this on comcast sports net .

He is a fat , lazy,childish, me 1st player

I can't remember a Celtics player who seemed to try so hard to alienate himself from the fan base.

BBD should be a fan favorite.  At times, he's been the hustle player that we all love to root for.

Unfortunately, more often he's the guy who resists what the team asks him to do, the guy who injures himself, the guy who is looking to get paid, the guy who wants a bigger role, the guy who can't stay in shape, the guy who wants to take more shots than Pierce and Allen, the guy who thinks he's better than he is.

I don't like the latter guy very much.  BBD has value off the bench, but his attitude and his mouth make a lot of people wish he'd just go away.  "Glen" can "be Glen" in another city.

to me, it sounds like Baby is on his way out by his comments...but who knows, the CBA drama and the doubt about his weight/mentality may force teams to look past him and he'll end up back here....

honestly, despite all the hate he seems to get, I wouldnt mind him back. We need Bigs, and if he plays within his role he can give you what he did the first half of the season...sure he stuck it up the last half and into the playoffs...but he was a big part in us to nearly beating orlando in 09 filling in for KG and was good for us in the playoffs last year

the main key there though is IF he can play within his role..problem is, Glen davis seems to think he's a better player than he really is..

If we want to win a championship, you need all your players to be set in their roles and to sacrifice for the sake of the team...im not sure Glen is ready for that.

If a player's going to have a little "LeBron" in him you'd hope for defense, rebounding, passing, ball handling, athleticism, or maybe driving to the hoop. Not foot in mouth disease.

Glen Davis shows how humble he is by speaking in the third person.

All I want out of BBD is his trade value.

I don't get it.  What are you complaining about?  Davis is just being very honest and being his own worst critic.  And he's obviously talking about the way the season ended and basically reiterating what he said back then, about how he felt lost.  He's saying that he needs to work on being more mentally tough.  Does anyone disagree with that!!!!

God how I wish people would stop SCAPEGOATING him.  I don't love Glen Davis, but we clearly need him, if we can sign him for a reasonable amount.  Every other thread that isn't about hating Davis is about how desperately we need bigs.
