I don't know if Riles will come back, or if Phil will give it a go, but this I can just about guaranty you: Eric Spoelstra will not be coaching the Heat next season. I am not here to pile on him, although I feel he was outcoached by Rick Carlysle.  Lebron and Wade have egos such that they are not capable of pointing the finger at themselves, and will blame their coach. Watch. They will get a meeting with Daddy Riles and say that Eric must go.

Can't say I disagree.

No matter how old Phil is and what his health is, this Miami team is made for him to coach. I definitely had visions of him being at the helm next year.

I am sure a secret dinner meeting between Riley and Phil is not long off. I hope it does not happen but I fear it very well could. The only thing is that Riley really, really loves Spoelstra but in the end, it might not be enough. We will See.

I expect Spoelstra to stay and be given (at least partially) another season.

If the same issues persist, then Riley will fire him mid-season next year.

I just don't see Riley ever hiring Phil Jackson and taking the luster of credit for a championship away from Riley. Hire Jackson and it's his great zen coaching that gets the credit for the championship and not Riley's management.

I think it more likely to see a Byron Scott, Jeff Van Gundy or some other Riley disciple become coach there than Phil Jackson ever coaching the Heat.

My dream is that Mike D'Antoni gets forced out of New York and Wade and Lebron, thinking back to the days when D'Antoni was an assistant coach for the US Olympic team, insist that D'Antoni be hired.

Riley and Jackson cannot co-exsist. Phil goes to NY or stays retired, IMO.

I'd love it if Byron Scott got the Heat job someday, cause it would complete my list of reasons to loathe a team as much as the Yankess and Jets.

Spoe hangs on another year, IMO. He's been a good scapegoat...

I would love to see that too ... unfortunately, I can't see Riley hiring a coach like D'Antoni.

There's only 1 thing that makes me even remotely optimistic about the future - Danny.

Spo's safe.

There is no way he gets fired.

He's made a ton of mistakes and he still has the job because he has done a great job.

In the Finals, he got out coached and his players got out played.

I would beg to differ with you there haha....unless you are seeing Danny trade for 2 more hall of famers to pair up with Rondo & Jeff Green?

Naw they aren't letting him go ...not YET anyway...I mean he got all the way to the final and mised it by a couple games. He is a good little puppet for RIley to pull the strings.

I think as long as the HEAT go deep into the playoffs next year he is still safe. A quick  1st round exit would not be good for his career.

I think he gets AT least TWO more shots ..if the HEAT are in next years finals again.

Pretty much , three strikes and your out with LBJ... he is your " BEST PLAYER" and not winning a banner in three tries is a sure firing , unless your are P Jackson.

I predict , P JACKSON comes out of retirement to yet again hlep LBJ or D12 get that first ring.

SInce it snows in Boston according to all the youngsters, we can NEVER ever have another Super Star.   OH well....

When you have 2 of the NBA's top 5 players in your starting lineup, it's a failure to lose any series.
