No pipe dreams like Tim Duncan or Tyson Chandler. So these would be some moves I would like to see them make:

1) Get Chris Johnson Back
Even though he's skinny, he's a big young body who has potential to be a rotation player. Plus he's a decent shot blocker and is only 25.

2) Resign Delonte West, Jeff Green, and Von Wafer
Delonte West and Jeff Green are obvious resigns, but I put Wafer here because he's athletic and would be better than bringing in a new third string guard. He should be resigned, but only for the minimum

3) Draft either Jeremy Tyler or Nikola Vucevic with the 25th pick, and Jeremiah Rivers with the 55th pick
If available, the Celtics should nab Jeremy Tyler. Like Bradley last year, he was a top prospect in high school but faded away in his college, or overseas, career the next year. Most people forget about what he was capable of and could be capable of with the right teacher. If he's not available, they should take Nikola Vucevic, who could be a young center to play minutes in the regular season.
Jeremiah Rivers would be a good pickup for the 55th pick, who could take minutes away from Ray Allen in the regular season and would be a fan favorite.

I didn't discuss free agent targets in this, but if you have any ideas I would love to hear them!

Jeremiah couldn't take minutes away from his teammates on a subpar Indiana team

Haha. Yes he isn't as good as Austin, but I would love to see him in green next season. It would be fun to see him play for his dad. Besides, I'm not expecting a starter at the 55th pick.

I really do think if he had stayed in school and gone to a college where he could've gotten the right training, he would be a top 10 pick this year.

our best offseason moves would be the largely retain our bench from last season whom would benefit greatly from a training camp within the Celtics system...and use our MLE to sign a backup 5 to play behind Jermaine O'neal....preferably someone younger, more athletic and less injury prone

Resign Jeff Green with a qualified offer
Resign Delonte west using the LLE(or qualified raise)
Offer Glen Davis 1 year contract with the lure of one last championship push

Sign Marquis daniels for the Veterans minimum, or someone like sasha pavlocic to be a 3rd wing off the bench

anyone have a list of the free agent Centers within the MLE price range this summer?

I like the idea of bringing Marquis back. Some centers that would be in our price range would be Kurt Thomas, Joel Przybilla, Nazr Mohammed, Aaron Gray, Kwame Brown, Alexis Ajinca, and others.

Here is a list by position of Free Agents for 2011:

It's a sad day when Kwame Brown deserves actual consideration for our center. I mean yes the guy has had a resurgence in his career, but he's still Kwame

  • Rondo = Good
I believe Chris Johnson is already on a partially guaranteed contract with the Blazers, so no luck there.

Most likely we'll be counting on somebody like him for minutes at center next season.  Either that or some ancient stiff (a Jamaal Magloire / Juwon Howard / Erick Dampier type).

nazr mohammad wouldnt be bad to have.

I think we need to shore up behind RA as well...Delonte is just too injury prone where chances are hes going to miss games sometime in the season...so maybe we should keep Arroyo and sign a backup SG

I'm not too big on Arroyo, mostly because we gave up Chris to get him, but also because he doesn't seem like a team guy. We do need a backup SG because Delonte is injury prone and Avery isn't ready to play 24 MPG yet(I stress yet). I was thinking someone like Eddie House? I doubt MIA will keep him and who better to have knock down 3's?

Anyone think Ben Wallace could be helpful?  I read he is looking to play again next season.  Still seemed to play decent last year.  Could give us 6 or 7 boards playing solid D for 20 to 25 MPG.

house would be good...he knows our system...and when he did play for miami, he was still able to knock down the 3....we need more three point marksmen who can stretch the floor for rondo

House, Delonte, green, BBD, MLE big? not a bad bench if we can build it and give them a training camp

Honestly I think we could nab a sign and trade of BBD and or Jeff Green for Tayshaun Prince and or Richard Hamilton. Sign Big Ben for LLE.

Rondo,Ray,Pierce,KG,BigBen
Delonte,Hamilton,Prince,Murphy,JO
Can't stop, Rondo!
