If you actually look around, you'd see the people hating on Green would be the same people who gave up any hopes for a championship because Perk was traded.

So, you mean the people who were right?

Go figure

Perkins' -34 +/- in the playoffs for OKC would have made all the difference in the world for the Celtics right?

I'm sure OKC fans are thinking the same; we gave up hope of winning the title when we traded for Perkins.
Perk might not have guaranteed a series victory but what he would have done is clogged the lane for Miami's drives to the hoop.  He would have reduced Miami's offensive rebound volume by getting more rebounds himself and most importantly keeping BBD out of the Center spot and at the backup PF spot where he belongs and is far more effective.

I have no doubt OKC fans thought they actually had a far better shot at the title as opposed to many C's fans that saw their chances fade.  Guaranteed OKC is much more excited to have a full season (or whatever length next year) of a healthy Perk next year than Boston is to have a full season of Green and only JO as their lone center under contract for next year.

So you're claiming that JO will be the lone center under contract next season? Is that a guarantee?

And are you guaranteeing that Boston would be more excited going into next season without Green after Perk signed elsewhere?

Dont tell us...show us, that is the Celtic way.

I think if the guy was playing passive and not full throttle and still gave us around 10 points off the bench....then it's going to be scary what he will do for us next year if he is more assertive.

If you really think about it, if Baby could have given us 10-13 from the bench along with Green's 10 and West's 10....that's 30 to 33 points per game off the bench.

If we have that all season, you can't tell me our starting 5 won't get the job done in the crunch time situation...hell we may just win by the end of the 3rd in most games like we did back in 07-08.

When i read this headline one word came to mind... "Duh."  If he couldnt tell he has no business in the NBA.  The fact that it took him this long to come to the realization is what kills me.

I havent read the thread but I'm sure there are still people on here defending him... What more do you want than to hear it straight from his mouth?

It's a good idea to read through threads before posting.  Green has few defenders here; in fact most people are not surprised.

This thread is kind of funny. I remember the abuse many of us took complaining about how passive Green was, how he didn't have an impact on most games, etc. Now, the guy admits it himself and everyone is coming to his defense and talking about how hard it was for him to fit in with all of the Celtics' superstars. Hilarious.

I'm not going to stand up for Green, he didn't do much, I just want him to explode next year like I'm thinking he will.
