Green while being more suited for the role of SF played PF while in the Thunder...he defended Bosh pretty aggressively I thought in the Miami series....as long as we find another 5 to backup JO(or start when he gets injured) we should be sufficient..especially with the elite teams in the east now playing alot of "small ball"

I think when Danny traded for Jeff Green, he saw him as being the focal point of the 2nd unit offensively. whether this year or next...the guy has lottery pick talent...and I see him playing big minutes next year with a training camp under his belt and Doc finds out the best way to utilize him...if he can play at his potential, he can be a 15PPG 6th man

I really think a player like Justin Harper would complement JG very nicely at least offensively. JG obviously is more comfortable in the post and Harper would space the floor for him to operate.

I think it could go both ways, i would rather have green playing sf.

Green should be playing SF next year almost exclusively.  The only time I think he could be of value as a PF is if he's with the "big 4" in a Posey-type role.

I'd like to see Danny work on filling the frontcourt with a quality backup center and PF or a combo PF/C if he keeps Krstic.  Maybe use the first rounder this year on a decent big man that could provide some limited minutes (Faried, Tyler, etc..)

Not sure what options the CBA will leave Danny for filling out the roster but this next year has got to have a majority of players that can manage to stay healthy all year and make solid contributions on the court.

I think Danny's going big--and legitimate, not tweener, big--in the draft.  Maybe with both picks.  Also he'll sign at least one FA C/PF.

I don't think they'd mind Green continuing to play a few minutes at the 4, but he'll largely play the 3 next year.  (And Pierce will probably play just a couple minutes at the 2 while Green's at the 3.)

I think a big part of Green's value is his versitility.  He can provide valuable minutes at either PF or SF off the bench and probably is better suited at SF if you want to use him as a starter (which Boston won't need to any time soon).  In a pinch though, he obviously can start at PF as well.

I hope we get Green back for next year as I think he can contribute in a lot of ways.  I don't think it has a whole lot to do with Davis though.  We will need a big either way.

Clearly.  Preferably we keep Big Baby and let Green walk...it's much easier to find a quality back-up SF than PF

If Baby leaves, the Celtics are down to KG and JO down low.

So yes, they need to sign big men.

I get the feeling that in some way it will come own to Green vs. Davis as far as who gets resigned as a Celtic.

If that's the case, personally, I'd rather keep Green.
