Iggy:

14pts
6 reb
6 asst
per game.

J Green second season before Durant:
17pts
7reb
per game.

He is capable of at least

19pts 7 reb a game next to howard I would think. He is better now than 3 years ago.

So the starters would look like this:
Holiday 16pts per game 9 assist
Iggy    14pts  6 and 6
green   19pts  7 and 3
Howard  20pts  13
Gortat  14pts  10

83 point per game from just the starters with a solid bench.

Pierce makes the trades work though i agree it would be hard top part with him.

The could pack the paint to stop the twin towers but Green/Dudley, Allen,Holiday,(whoever is back up PG) and even iggy can make J's. Iggy does not have 3 point range but can knock down open J's. Green and Dudley Holiday Allen would obliterate whoever packed the middle with 3's and blow them out.

You can't just assume that people will put up the same numbers no matter the kind of players they're on the court with. Howard plays with a lot of three point shooters to spread the floor. You have no big outside threats so Howard is less effective. Gortat would be playing with Howard and not a floor stretcher like Rashard Lewis or Frye so he'll be less effective. Both of them clogging the middle will make Green and Iggy (especially Iggy) less effective. You could easily get 15 points a game less than you expect out of that lineup.

Orlando tried stretching the floor and failed.Howard got no help underneath while he was on the floor. Look at Shaq. In his prime you could stack the middle and he would still score or get to the line. The prob was he could not make free throws. Howard also has that prob so that would hurt us. I think we could make sure we have shooters on the roster but we would live and die by the three like Orlando. Having a bunch of guys that can post up and destroy you or run past you equal wins...

we would have good post one on one guys and when the double comes we dump off to the other guy slashing to the basket etc like iggy...it could work.

The defenders would be packing it in and living in the paint. Post ups aren't easy against multiple defenders in the paint, and slashing isn't very easy when that happens.

In the end most of us just don't think this trade makes us better. Sure you could argue that if we got Dwight we would be better, but he could sign with us next year on his own.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Dwight could sign next year but we would have no future at all. We would be stuck with the aging big three that are getting slower and weaker each day. Rondo whom can not shoot. A weak bench and no draft picks...in 2013 2014 etc we will be not making the playoffs and going back to the lottery...why not fix that now with something like the trade I proposed. Howard in 2013 with the big three will NOT win a championship becasue the big three is unable to keep up with Miamis big three. By then they will be getting smoked by Miamis big three. Howard can not make up the difference for them getting blown by each play...

Look at Dallas. Dirk posts and they attack him and he dumps off. Anytine he gets the ball they stack the middle. He drives anyway and dumps to Chandler under or kidd out etc...it works...Howard would drive anyway and dump to Gortat or kick out to Holiday for a jumper or holiday would put in on the floor and attack and dump...you can stack the middle but with the teams athleticism you would foul out all your big men trying to stack and get a bunch of 3 second illegal D calls...you could not stop this team that way.

Ok, if you're somehow going to infuse Dwight Howard with Dirk's skills in addition to the ones he already has then I endorse your plan. Otherwise it won't work. Having Howard drive into the teeth of the defense will have people wishing they could sign Tony Allen to be our point forward.

Fair enough. Howard does not shoot like Dirk nor has he developed as good post driving skills but he is athletic enough to do it if he tries. He wont have Dirks outside range but he would be adequate to draw doubles in the post constantly...There may be better ideas out there but I just think if Danny sits on this big three thing we are doomed. They are aging fast. Only Ray seems to be holding his age well. Pierce and KG are tired and worn down. They even got rest throught the games and still wore down. The heat big three get no rest hardly and still smoke our big three. Now is the time to act or have to wait for a 3 to 4 year rebuilding plan..shoot maybe a 5 or 6 year plan...if Ray and Kg will take chump change in 2013 we might have a chance at something special with them and Pierce off the bench. But for now we gotta be aggresive in trades to get some youth talent or else.

How did no one say anything about the statement that Aaron Brooks is better than Steve Nash now?  Is that serious?  Nash is still arguably a top 5 pg, probably behind CP3, DWill and Rose, and on par with Rondo, Westbrook.  Brooks could MAYBE start on 2 playoff teams this year.

Nash maybe Better for a year or two more but Brooks can light it up and steals the ball like Rondo...Nash is smarter and craftier but Brooks will run circles around him. Nash is slowing down. In the fourth he loses steam and misses open shots now and days...He use to nail those same shots.

Brooks wasn't even a starter this year and he averages about a half a steal a game, which isn't really "like Rondo".
