Not sure who is contracted, but Houston have Scola, Yao(injured i no), hill, Hayes, Thabeet, Patterson, and miller fighting for minutes,i can see them trading either Patterson or hill.

I think it would be a pretty fair trade, kinda like a position swap. maybe we throw in a 2nd rounder.

1. Jordan Hill sucks, whereas Avery Bradley has shown some potential, i.e. the last regular season game when they sat the big 3 and he dropped 20+ and also played well in his d-league stint.

2. the contracts don't match, hill makes almost twice what Avery Bradley does.

3. Bradley can play the 1 and 2, is a freak athlete and can lock-up on the other end.  Watch some tape on him.

Both players have been disappointing, but have similar potentials. But Bradley will not contribute next year unless we blow it up, or unless major injurious. Jordan Hill can contribute right away, and like Bradley , still has room for improvement.

Hill ranks 13th in the league for Rebounds Per 48 Minutes (13.1)
That would be nice to have for 10-15 minutes a game a guy who actually rebounds the ball, definitely something we could use of the bench

Bradley cant shoot and is poor play maker. i wouldn't trust him at either guard spot on a team competing for a ring. definitely not at sg because he's only 6'2.

Hill is a big man who rebounds. he is 6'10 and can stay healthy. a better prospect then what we would get in the draft, and seeing as Bradley is unlikely to contribute i see it as a good trade.
Contracts is a fair point

There is a reason why Jordan Hill can't get more than 15 minutes a night for a lottery team.  And, here it is.....

His Drtg is also like 108.  One of the worst on/off court numbers in the league....

Avery Bradley's is 101 (7 fewer points allowed per 100 possessions).

FWIW, Hill's ORTG is 105; Bradley's is 68.

Dwight Howard led the league at 94, so to give you an idea, yes, 101 is significantly better than 108.  7 pts per 100 possessions is a big difference.

And the difference in ORTGs of 105 and 68? Comparatively speaking, that's even bigger, yes?

Rockets with Hill on the court -6.8
Rockets with hill off the court +5.7

Bradley played like 140 minutes total this year, so probably can't really rely too much on his #s, although he did show a lot of good flashes in the only game he got sig. mins.  After two seasons of getting good minutes, plenty of stats to determine Hill is not a good player, and def. not able to make a difference on a playoff team.  He can't even help the Rockets.  Bradley on the other hand is less than 2 years removed from battling with J. Wall for top spot in the 2009 class.

Hill's DRTG was the same as Shane Battier's and Luis Scola's with the Rockets. The entire team was poor defensively, judging from that metric (Chuck Hayes, at 106, was the best rated rotation player).

I don't have the same faith in Bradley, that extended garbage minutes in the 82nd game against the Knicks presages future success. Perhaps he'll reach the potential that most think he possesses, but I'm disinclined to think it happens anytime soon.

He'll need to make a quantum leap if he'll help the team next season.

I think the on/ off court numbers regarding Jordan Hill are enough to warrant concern.  Guy has 0 offensive game/ polish.

That being said, I agree with the ABradley concerns.  I do like his size, defense, athleticism, maturity.  If he can improve his handle, could end being the player I really wanted hope was still available with the pick: Eric Bledsoe.
