I don't think Phily gives up on Turner this early in the game.

I don't either unless they decide AI2 is the better player and Turner will never fit with him.

Just a random thought.

Me neither.  I am curious about Speights though.  They seem to be close to giving up on him.  He certainly is not the answer defensively, but he has size, athleticism, and skill that you just can't teach.  I think he would be a great buy low option for a potential big man to groom.

I wouldn't mind offering this year's pick for him, just to see if they bite...

Even if they decide that, they are going to want more than Jeff Green.  They could match up well for that #2 pick though.  I think Turner could fit in better with the Wolves than Williams, and Williams would be a nice fit in Philly with his shooting.

Or the Celtics swallow a bad contract while sending a 1st back.

Long shot of course.

I wouldn't pay the price that getting Turner likely would cost, but I would go after Speights. He's a young big man who can light up the scoreboard fast, and I think he can be had for a decent price right now.

Maybe if the contract was Brand's, and the pick was either a future unprotected first, or the Clippers pick.

I just think you are undervaluing Turner right now.  He is still a terrific prospect, and has a ton of value.

Maybe I am just a victim of the over-inflation of Green on this site.

Elton Brand @ $35 mil for 2 years?  No thanks.  Also, how are we going to replace our starting backcourt with a PF and SF who plays some SG?

I like Iguodala, but mainly because I think he would play well with Rondo, spread the court for Ray Allen, and can play D.  Kind of negates those reasons if we trade those 2 guys for him.

What about JG, BBD and a pick for AI2?

Pretty thin at guard after that trade.  Might be easier for you just to become a 76ers fan.  That Elton Brand contract is also horrible, would handicap us in the 2012 off-season and destroy any chance we have at acquiring D12 or CP3.

Also, those salaries aren't even close to matching.  By just looking at it the Celtics are giving up around $29 mil; Brand and Iggy are over $30 on their own........

Unless the Sixers plan to let T. Young walk why trade for Green?

Im coming to realize that I am not a big Green fan. however, I dont think I would make this trade... I think that we could get more proven value for green if we were to trade him.
