Just was wondering. I am 20 years old and looking to get more toned. I went to the gym for awhile and wasn't seeing the results I wanted so I figured I would try something new. It seems like this was the way to go. I just ordered it and wanted to see if anyone in here has it and has it worked well for you?

I bought the DVD's... Not so much on the "doing" part though.  ;D

Sadly that's why I resemble BBD more so than Ray! Good luck to you on it!

I did it last year, it is a lot of work and you need to be dedicated, but it definitely works.  I lost about 30lbs in 90 days.

I did it a couple years back and got in the best shape of my life ever.

Going to start it again soon.  Because after I did it. I didnt stick with it.  Even now I am 20lbs under what I was when I started it 2 years ago.

I did P90X for 45 days at the end of 2010 before an injury (unrelated to the program) forced me to stop.  I have nothing but good things to say about the workouts*.  It's an incredibly varied well balanced program, very intense, and with amazing results if you're dedicated to it.  For me, it was just to improve my basketball performance, and it did that, as I was faster and stronger with better muscular and cardiovascular endurance than ever before.

*The diet portion of the program is another matter.  I'm an avid studier of nutrition, and my diet tends to be paleo like (only meats/eggs/nuts/fish/vegetables/nuts/seeds and nothing else).  I therefore disagree with a lot of the diet recommendations, especially foods containing unfermented soy for instance.

I didn't take their synthetic supplements either, and instead opted for Mercola Whole Food Multivitamins as well as his Whey Protein.

Finally, regular free weights are better than the bands, no matter what they say.

Let me know if you have any specific questions.  Incidentally, I'm currently on Day 65 of Power 90 - the earlier Tony Horton program that is a little easier - doing this one so my girlfriend can do it with me.

I did P90x. Loved it. I actually didn't do it at home... it's hard to get motivated or have the proper amount of weights to do all the moves so I put it on my iPod and did it at the gym. It definitely works because it's ridiculously hard. Couldn't be happier with the results though.

I did half a day of it, twice, haha.  It's pretty challenging.  I'm kind of an intense person and can't really pace myself though; I do as many reps as possible every set.

I've done it and I'm continuing to do so.  I also do coach others and help people with it.  If you want send me an email I put together a power point for people just starting it.  It's a really good beginners guide to help you out with what to expect with every aspect of the program.  Just shoot me an email and I would be happy to forward it to anyone who wants it, tons of great info there.

Agreed.  I got about 30 days into it and just didn't have the time to continue it.  It does work though, it's a good work out.  The yoga was a killer.
do it

i have a friend that did it and it worked.  he got shredded and ripped. he said it is tough mentally as much as it is physicaly due to the dedication and investment.

i just ordered rushfit (GSP's program).  i am already in really good shape from doing martial arts 4 or 5 days a week, but wanted to try it out.

I'm on my first recovery week. I've modified it though so I can make it a long term(hopefully) lifelong routine. I may not see the results as quick, but I'll get there. I axed the yoga, use my own routine on Fridays and then use the program for the other four days. So far I am seeing some results.

To the op:
The biggest thing I would suggest to anyone is to make this program work for you and figure out what your exercise routine will be after the 90 days.

One thing to consider is to check garage sales and stores that sell used weights. You don't need a lot for this. Free weights will give you greater results.
