I hope it's nothing too bad. Obviously, Dallas needs Dirk to dominate in order to win this year.

Are you serious? The man works his behind off to get here and he gets injured on his finger? It's like the basketball gods want Miami to win this year because teams seem to get injured while playing them in the playoffs besides Sixers. I hope the best for Dirk and hop he heals it or gets it together to finish. It's sad that their chance to win can fall down to injuries.

edit:Ok it's on his non shooting hand so hopefully he get's it together and healthy and not let this game get them down. Miami lost the 1st game against Chicago and look what happened. Hopefully they win game 2 and tie to go back to Dallas.

I don't like Dallas' chances with a healthy Novinski, now that he is injured it is even worse....For me Miami winning is about the worse outcome ever...it is going to be terrible listening/seeing lebron after winning...

It hurts Dallas' cause, but I think we saw last night that their cause is pretty close to futile anyway.

Jeff Van Gundy said it best . . . the biggest problem the Mavs have is that the Heat have Wade and LeBron and they don't.

Yup, its frustrating to think that we're probably watching the beginning of a 5-6 year Heat dominated era in the NBA.

This feels an awful lot like Jordan's Bulls in 1991 or Shaq's Lakers in 2000.  :(

Torn tendon or not, I just dont see the Heat losing this year. They are playing way too good.

that play now was not only game changing but series changing.

the refs are clearly in the bag for Miami at this point. That bogus call totally changed the complexion of the game. and now apparently has changed the whole series.

honestly, the cynical side of me hopes this series is a blowout now just to show Stern that he shouldn't mess with the outcomes...or allow the refs to...

the ratings will plummet if this is a blowout...

if the refs had just stayed out of the way we could have at least had an interesting game 1. with DAL down by 4, Dirk stripped the ball and they could have gone on a fastbreak based on that steal potentially getting an easy transition bucket.

but instead, Bosh gets two bogus free throws putting MIA up by 6, basically giving them control of the game and now with Dirk's injury, control of the series...

I'm really beginning to despise how much meddling the league does with outcomes...
