Seriously there was at least 5 calls that were nothing short of fraudulent. And these were at key times as well.

This league is such a joke.

Like that LeBron and one dunk.  The Heat never will play in an evenly called game ever.  If u want to beat the Heat you have to beat the reffs too.

Mavs took more foul shots tonight. Or at least they had through the middle of the fourth quarter. Miami is just that good.

Its not always about the quantity.

Miami benefited at times they shouldn't  have that kept them into the game.

I was a competitive fencer for a decade. For those of you who don't know in fencing who scores is entirely decided by a referee and it was a well known bit of fencing psychology that you could get a referee in a rhythm calling things a certain way. If I score a point that is clearly mine early then if I keep doing the same thing that got me that point the referee will probably keep giving me the point even if it was less clear.

I have to imagine the same holds true in the NBA and how relentlessly Miami attacks the basket gets referee's in a rhythm to award closer calls to the Heat when going to the bucket. And because Chicago ( with the exception of Rose), The Cs and Dallas are all jumpshooting teams they can't get the refs in any kind of rhythm of their own. The closest the Heat have been pushed was that Philly series and that team is full of guys who attack the basket.

It's not cheating, it's athletes being smart.

Unfotunately refs won't change because this is what Stern wants. He wants his biggest stars to win. Lebron and Wade help the ratings.

They hit the shots they needed to... refs didn't hit those crazy clutch shots Wadena and LeBronda threw in. I actually came away thinking Dallas still has a shot at this. If JJ (especially), Terry, and Kidd are slightly better they have a chance.
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

no they wont, its not the number of foul shots, but the no calls that bother me the most...its rediculous time and time again to watch the heat play Rough, knocking people down etc. no call...and then they get touched and its on to the free throw line..

Its obvious the Refs are in the Heats pockets...just watching Derrick Rose who was able to get to the line at ease during the playoff series/season....get mugged by the heat and no calls shows it...

Ray allen getting pushed going for a layup, Lebron barreling over Rondo...

having just watched the game, these are the ridiculous non/calls that most stood out to me, because they had a significant impact on the game:

1. Lebron's and-1 dunk
2. Offensive foul called on Tyson Chandler as Haslem "fought" his way through the screen
3. Dirk's clean strip on Chris Bosh
4. Chalmers flailing his arms as he approached Wade to set a screen during the near-to-last possession. Might've been a foul but it was a crucial possession. That doesn't get called 99% of the time. The 1% is that game right there.
5. Wade's and-1 layup as he tried to lean in to Deshawn Stevenson who didn't jump, but Wade fell anyway, because he's dwayne wade.

there are other non-calls, like Tyson Chandler being whacked in the alley-oop by Mike Miller or Jason Terry's arm being hit by Lebron on that 3 attempt, but those weren't as crucial or game-changing or momentum-changing as those 5 i mentioned above.

Nice. I hated the way that 4th quarter went. The two quick calls on Tyson Chandler were a mistake, and I don't think the fact that LeBron got called for some kind of off ball 50/50 call fighting through a Chandler screen was a coincidence.

The refs are more important than the players in some ways.

Sounds like wrestling. The real kind..not the..less real kind.

Probably, that's the only issue with combat sports, so much power is in the refs hands.
