8 years Later, Lebron can Really Shoot

He has hit all the shots that he has needed to hit. It seems to me that Wade and Bron never miss a shot when they need to make one. It has been quite amazing to watch even though I hate to admit it.

LeBron's hitting roughly 35% of his three point shots in the playoffs, versus roughly 33% in the regular season.  His regular season percentage is not a large improvement over the last few seasons.  The post-season percentage is actually 5% worse than last year (when he shot 40%).

LeBron has hit some big shots from outside late in games, but that doesn't necessarily mean that he has improved all that much as an outside shooter.  The difference between his shooting stroke now and at the start of his career is quite large, but it's not as though that it's only just become apparent.

Exactly "stats" smats.  All that matter is when you need a big one and it goes in.  And Lebum has been doing that in these playoffs I will give him that.

He doesn't need to be a good shooter. The NBA as instated rules where defenders are not allowed to make any contact with an offensive player during a game. He just needs to drive into the lane for wide open lay ups or if somebody comes in contact with him it's an automatic foul.

I know this is a bit off topic but isn't kind of ridiculous how much the NBA has handicapped defenders to the point where they aren't even allowed to really play defense anymore?

Defense is starting to become a very irrelevant part of the game.

I will not watch the finals. By adding to this lefake and fade group all you are doing is growing their worth to the NBA's coffer.

If you watch them on ESPN, it just shows the NBA that they deserve the attention.

I rather root for Orlando or OKC before giving any credit or attention to the actions that the team of Miami has brought to the NBA circle.

well,I guess the only good thing to say in all of this is that a Heat "dynasty" isn't really a given even if they win the finals this year...The East(and the west) are in transition this year..

The bulls are a another shotmaker away from being championship level, you have another 2 superstars in NYC who with the right roleplayers(and coach) can challenge Miami. and Boston is still around...and in the west, you have teams like the Thunder, and lakers who will still be competitive

I mean they expect to make every clutch basket and they shoot it like it was nothing, Our Celtics, au contraire, you would see them looking to pass the ball all over the place cause nobody had the confidence to shoot it in crunch time. Pas and pass and pass the ball, looking for the perfect shot that almost never was there. That was the main difference with out team this and last year; our offense floundered in the 4Q cause it seems that nobody wanted to take the shots. Lebrón and Wade and even Bosh will shoot it if you blink in your defense and they will shoot it even if you dont blink and they will shoot it in your face. I have no doubts they will take it in 4 straight against Dallas. Nobody can stop them the way they are playing. Absolutely no fear -they know they will wear you down eventually and then they roll over you. And some gays still think Perks would have made the difference - NOT.

We are guilty of overpassing and it does lead to some silly turnovers.

If we were to shoot the open looks we do get, earlier in the shot clock, our team offensive pace factor would be higher.

We would have more FGA's and probably score more points.
