Mia should be favored but only because they have HCA.  The Mavs have been playing just as well and have a star just as hot. Unlike Chicago, dal has a boatload of weapons and it won't be as easy to guard them. Even with dirk, they (Kidd) distribute the ball well. And, I don't care what anyone might think, lebron can't guard dirk.

Let's go Mavs.

I wouldn't say they have a "boatload of weapons" but maybe they have more depth. The defense will certainly be a few notches below CHI.

Can Lebron defend Dirk? If so WOW. Going from guarding Pierce to Rose to Dirk. That would be impressive

  • Rondo = Good
I think Dallas may very well have the best player in the series (at least in this post-season) -- and that could be what matters most.  If Dirk can dominate Bosh and score in the fourth quarter, while the rest of his team hits outside shots, plays solid defense, and hits the offensive glass well, I think the Mavs have a very solid chance of winning.

In any case, it's going to be a good series.

Just posted in the playoff thread that Barea can be a huge factor in this series. Heat's point guards suck, Barea is super quick and good at penetrating. He can cause lots of problems, in addition to the matchup advantages the Mavs have with Dirk and Chandler

Yeah and the Heat won't be able to use Lebron or Wade on him like they can on Kidd, Rondo, Rose etc.

Can Barea really take advantage though? I hope so

I don't think I've ever wanted a non-Boston team to win more than I want the Mavs to beat the Heat, and that includes when the Saints played the Colts in the Super Bowl.
"When I was a rookie, [Bird] and Kevin McHale were arguing.  So I asked Kevin McHale what they were arguing about.  And he says, 'we're just trying to figure out who you're going to guard.'  I said, 'what you mean?' and he said, 'oh, you're dead meat, rook.'" - Charles Barkley

MAvs have homecourt , and I think Kidd and DIrk will leave their bodies out on the court to win this thing.

I think the Vets on the Mav won't let this chance get away , LBJ will have  more shots.

This seems to finally be the MAV's year and I think they deserve it.  They aren't a show boat team , they come out and play with actions and not flapping of lips/

Way I look at it, as a C's fan , its a good year when LA isn't in the finals , even if we aren't there either.

Next to the Celtics winning it all, the next best thing is LA and Miami both losing in the finals to anybody else. ;D

I love watching JJ play, but I actually think he'll have a harder time waltzing into the lane and making plays than he did against OKC.  The two key guys (other than Dirk, obviously), in my opinion, are Kidd and Marion.
DKC Seventy-Sixers:

PG: G. Hill/D. Schroder
SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas
PF:  E. Ilyasova/J. Jerebko/R. Christmas
C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson
