Anyone else watching this epic Chicago collapse?

Apparently , LBJ has finally "ARRIVED" and is now the NBA's golden haired boy .  Should the Refs make a call against him they will surely feel the rath of Stern .

LBJ has taken Kobe's crown . A happy NBA now all for one and one for all.

Just being LBJ is worth 10 points to the HEAT , becasue he is going to get at least 5 or more calls every game he shouldn't or that a average NBA player doesn't get or benefit of the doubt calls everytime.

So with that said , EVERY TEAM that plays the HEAT starts basically 10 points in the hole , becasue of the REFS bias towards his play.....rewards him with every close call...

So...there you have it , the deck automatically stacked against the MAV's.

Maybe good Karma earned by the unselfish play of the MAVS team will prevail .

Agree with this. I've said it before, when the Lakers got swept, it'll be in the best interest($$$$$) of the NBA to have a MAVS-HEAT finals,I've seen enough possessions that the Heat ended up scoring 4-5 points either to get the Heat to catch up or derail any comebacks for the opponent. The Bulls may have collapsed here, but surely the officials had more to do with it than the Heat.

Its just unbelievable how effortless they were able to come back during that last few mins of the 3rd quarter and the announcers says Heat is on a run?! What run? They were given fts for every small touch on LBJ!

I think Miami proves that the emphasis on team's bench's is overrated. It's star power that wins in the NBA.

My thinking about anything that happens in the world of pro sports starts with the recognition that pro sports is one or two steps above rasslin.  If you don't think that everything that happens is manipulated and controlled, I think you probably are very naive.    I'm not saying that it is all scripted.  I'd say that it's more like 'reality' tv;  partially scripted, indirectly scripted, massaged and manipulated. 

That said, the thing I noticed in this post-season, about the Heat, is the amazingly fast way they rotate and recover on defense.

  Funny, after the Celts lost to the Heat people kept telling me that the way to prevent late game collapses is to have a point guard that is a good scorer. Looks like it's back to the drawing board...

How many times have we seen a regular season MVP that has no help look less then that in the playoffs against good defense?



Boston did that to Lebron how many times?  Did it to Wade? 



When those two get better help, they suddenly play like top stars again.  Heck, Lebron looks like the best player in the game right now.  (offensively and defensively)



Miami has a very good defense.  The Bulls have one guy to go to on offense.

Only one time in the last 9 years has the #1 seed  come out of the East. (And we all know what that was!!!! I want to take my kids to another Duck Boat Parade while they're still kids!!)

For anyone that thinks Dallas has a good shot in the Finals they need to read this.

Dallas will really have to play above their heads and get significant performances from their role players while Lebron and Wade will have to go cold. I could easily see this being another 5 game series for Miami

There's looking less and there's looking putrid. The stars we've beaten in the playoffs may have lost but statistically their play and the decline in production was nowhere as bad as Rose was in this series. And especially last night. If any Celtic had done a tenth of what he did in the Bull's crunchtime collapse last night, the board would have imploded from the blame threads per second that would have popped up.

And I disagree he did not have any help. He has a nice supporting cast that defends, rebounds and hustles that manage to stay competitive when he's on the bench. And a couple of teammates that might have made a basket if he created for them.

The Bulls played badly in the postseason and especially in this series (albeit a few bad calls did hasten their exit)and Rose played a big part in that. I feel bad for Thibs but he had a great year and hopefully he can keep it up.

I would not characterize Dallas as a one-man offensive team.  Terry, Barea, Marion, and even Kidd, Stojakovic, and Chandler can all score at times.

Great defensive team.  That's why the games stayed close.


Only one true offensive player.  That's why the Bulls failed down the stretch.


Much like Lebron and Clev against the Celtics.  The defense kept them in the game.  Lebron being the only option in crunch time killed them.

I think you guys are being a bit generous. Marion, Peja, Kidd, Chandler (especially Chandler) are not offensive forces in any sense of the word. I don't think you can rely on any of those guys to consistenly do much on offense.

As for Terry and Barea I don't really see being much better offensively than Boozer and Deng
