Anyone else watching this epic Chicago collapse?

What a meltdown. What a complete failure. Missed free throws, horrible forced passes, terrible defensive choices. What a choke job. I'm so ripped at them right now. And a lot of their mistakes were the same low-IQ moves Boston made against Miami: "We've got a three-point lead? Well let's just give Wade or James an open 3!" Makes sense, right? Instead of forcing them off the 3-point line?

I was pretty sure, after Miami took a 3-1 series lead, that the Heat would take the series, but the Bulls could've at least extended the series, made the Heat a bit more tired. I'm so sick of LeBron's ugly mug and his chest-thumping.

at least in our case, our horses were simply exhausted and/or injured. chicago? not so much. i am very very disappointed in the bulls. they simply didn't show up after game 1. they came unglued in key moments in both games 4 and 5, games they could/should have won.

They just aren't that good. I don't know how people thought they would have done well when you are relying on Boozer in big games and relying on Rose to score 40 every night

I don't even remember the last regular season MVP to win an NBA championship that same year. Maybe Duncan or Shaq? I consider a curse for whatever team's player get's that award

looked to me more like another barrage of ridiculous jump shots by James - sometimes he's like a video game figure out there. i've just never seen somebody go straight up against defensive pressure with no dribble & no momentum and drill 25' 3-pointers that barely move the net. has this guy made a deal with the devil ?

Fair point, but Derrick Rose has hardly looked like an MVP to me in this post-season, and though he had some spectacular plays in the regular season, I think his numbers suggest that he's just not really at that level yet.

To me, he's a top 5 player in the league for sure, but not near the very top yet.  It's hard for me to consider him an MVP considering that, even if his team does rely on him for almost all of their offense.

I think part of the reason there is that "MVP curse" is because the media often gives the award to the player who "carries" their team the most, instead of the player who is actually the most dominant.  Teams carried by one player tend to crumble in the post-season.

Rose did alright.  It was TWO SUPER STARs against one .  Put TWO ROSES on the Bulls and the outcome would be closer,

MJ or Koby had the skills to offset LBJ.  His time as "KING" may have finally emerged. Koby is no longer MR basketball .

Riley has done it..he has got enough young supers together , agreeing to major pay cuts to produce a Banner capable contender.

So ........now where does the NBA go?  

I'll bet in order to save the traditions, major team construction and constrictions pay scales are comming down the pike.

Chicage didn't collapse , they were overwhelmed same as the Celtics.  

Although , I believe a CELTICS team with ZERO injuries, MD and all the rest including Perk and healthy Shaq could have stopped the HEAT .  A depleted Celtics lineup , particular this OLD ONE doesn't have a much of a chance anymore...

A team somewhere made up of D12 and CP3 and few good supporting cast could upset the apple cart for Riley.

Feel bad for them.  Has to be crushing for Derrick Rose, especially.  That missed free throw will haunt him this (potentially very long) offseason.

How much pay cut did they take? This might sound stupid but I think it takes away a little bit from their potential accomplishments. They are max guys obviously and should be paid that way so the cap affects them just as much. I know they are taking less money so there's nothing they can do but I still find it as almost "bending the rules" a bit. Not the work I'm looking for but something along those lines.

I mean if Dwight Howard came here for the Mid level and than Kevin Durant signed with us for 7 mill and etc etc. Isn't it kind of unfair? Under normal circumstances those guys would be making more money but because they want to play together we could just have a team of all superstars. I know that's blowing it out of proportion a bit but Miami did that on a smaller scale.

I'm honestly feeling like this rediculousness was rigged. How many astounding comebacks in the last 2 minutes can happen, and how many impossible 30 foot 3's can lebron james make? The guy who mentioned him making a deal with the devil may have hit the nail on the head.
