He does not celebrate after winning last night compared to when the Heat beat us you think they won the world championship. I hope Dirk gets the ring he deserves it!

I actually don't expect anyone on the Heat to go crazy after beating the bulls.

I think Lebron was just hamming it up in the clincher over Boston to try to gain sympathy for overcoming such a difficult hurdle.

But, yeah, I hope somehow, someway, Dallas can actually beat Miami. If i were placing bets, I'd pick Miami 4-1 though. :-/

Lebron and Wade have both been to the finals.

Bosh on the other hand, the moment might be to big for him.

Oklahoma City is not Boston.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

I agree with just about everything you said. I really hope Dallas and Dirk can win but I doubt it.

Let's not forget that Dallas beat the Lakers, who were the favorites in many eyes.

I do agree that Miami looks better based on their overall season, but there's reason for hope.

I am no fan of Lebron or Wade or Bosh, but how quickly we forget the obnoxious celebrations over the years by Paul Pierce, I love Pierce, but he has been as obnoxious as it gets.

If they win, they can celebrate however they want.

I think Dirk is a Jerk.  He is a soft player who  needs constant sympathy and love from the officials to have the tremendous impact he has.  I admire his shot, and I recognize that his athleticism and ballhandling are amazing for  a seven-footer,   and I love the way he reminds me of Larry at times, but he's very soft.  And the way he Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.es and cries and complains if he doesn't get a call, or if - heaven forfend - something gets called on him is just pathetic.  And look what happens;  Durant rarely Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.es, and as a result, he gets mugged and no calls.  Refs want to be respected, but do they deserve respect?   Players have been trained by the refs themselves that you have to work the refs constantly, and flop constantly, to get calls.

And what I wonder is this:  will Dirk get all the love he needs from the refs in the finals?  Remember, the Heat are clearly the favorites in the eyes of the League and the TV companies.  They are the chosen ones.  Dirk, are you still gonna get all those cheap calls down the stretch that keep winning games for you, when you are playing the Heat?  I really wonder...

How does Miami's overall season look more impressive than Dallas? The Mavericks were beating good teams all season and in the playoffs, Miami started slow and up until the playoffs didn't prove that they could beat anyone.

When watching the NBA tv shows, listening to NBA talk on the radio or reading NBA stories on most locations, Miami is written as more "impressive"

It's interesting though if you take into context about perspective.

The Mavs' playoff wins are more impact-full based upon their come from behind wins.

Miami has basically just won most of their games down the stretch, like going away.

If you think Dirk is soft, you are just not watching.

I can't stand LBJ but I thought his reaction to the win over BOS was genuine.  BOS knocked him out 2 of the last 3 years.  If not for the KG injury in 2009 it would probably be 3 for 3 on LBJ KO's.  Anyways who really cares about the celebrations.  It's only natural to be happy when you win isn't it?  I'm sure some will criticize Dirk for showing no emotion so you can look at it from so many angles.

Yeah! and don't forget he shaves his armpits too!

now seriously, I'd rather have dallas win this whole thing than Lebron...i just can't fathom how unpleasant it will be to see lebron/bosh  start that darn flexing again with the smoke and everything....Please please please let dallas win!
