The guy I work for seems to think ricky rubio will end up being a laker or a knick, soon.....whats the chances of that?

I highly doubt that we'll see Rubio come over this year. Too many concerns with the lockout coming.

But even if I did, what are the Lakers or Knicks going to offer the T Wolves to land Rubio? Both squads have literally 0 promising, low cost players.

I can't even come up with a trade that would be remotely appealing to the Wolves

the only thing that would get the lakers rubio is by trading minny either Gasol or Bynum and I don't see that happening for an unproven NBA player like Rubio.

That's where he needs to prove himself in the NBA first.  Those teams are still win now.  They want a PG they know can come in and start.

Even then if the Lakers were willing to do that - and I'm a thousand percent sure they're not - I don't know it'd financially work in order to make the trade.

I bet he gets dealt this summer. The Knicks have nothing to trade to get Rubio. If the Lakers wanted to trade Bynum for Rubio, the 2nd pick and others.

Does anyone know how Rubio is even doing? From what I've read he hasn't improved much since the draft.

If the Lakers would want to do this they'd have to take on a semi-bad contract like Milic or Ridnour through 13/14. And again, I don't see their motivation to do so.

Ok so here is an idea. 3 team trade:t-wolves, Lakers and Boston   ;D

Heres what happens:

Lakers get: rubio, 2nd pick(first round) and BBD(s/t from boston)
T-wolves get: Pau Gasol and LA's 30th pick
Boston gets: Beasley

I said if the Lakers wanted. Which isn't implying they do want to trade Bynum.

Some of that Rubio luster has worn off already, but it would be interesting to watch him deliver alley-opps to Blake G. Somehow the Clips would manage to screw up that tandem up as well.
