it frustrates me because i realize that's who Big Baby should've emulated in every way. fights for rebounds all the time, has a nice simple little jumpshot from 15-18 ft out, takes charges, tons of productive energy and hustle. This is who big baby should've been for us in the playoffs. he shot 0-5 today, sure, but he was a staggering +25 on the floor with 9 rebounds.

Haslem will never make the all-star team or win any awards, but he's a legitimate glue guy that can play a big role in winning a championship. Oh big baby, if only...

Just look at the weight difference. That'll answer the problem

Plus, Haslem was a guy like G.Davis who was overweight in his younger days.

Haslem lost 70lbs after college to trim down to 240lbs in order to improve his quickness, mobility and explosiveness. Plus, Haslem managed to retain a lot of his strength while cutting out the unneeded weight.

Glen Davis should followed suit and lost the weight. He'd be a much better player without all that excess padding.

me too, and Chandler on the MAVs is playing awesome too... BBD was a huge drag on the Celtics when we needed him the most...sorta like Perk for OKC of late.

Thats why BBD will most likey be on somebody elses bench next year ...I HOPE.

Already has, right? Wasn't Haslem on the Shaq/Walker/Zo team?

yeah, he was. And even back then, he didn't play like an all-star. but nonetheless, he played terrific as a role player/glue guy.

I had hoped Baby would develop into a Rodney Rogers type.  Develop the 3-point shot, use his ball skills to dribble guys into post position.
2025 Draft: Chicago Bulls

PG: Chauncey Billups/Deron Williams
SG: Kobe Bryant/Eric Gordon
SF: Jimmy Butler/Danny Granger/Danilo Gallinari
PF: Al Horford/Zion Williamson
C: Yao Ming/Pau Gasol/Tyson Chandler

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
funny how quickly people forget the big baby of 09 and 2010.

Just leave him out to dry after a bad 6 months.

Could we have made the finals and almost beaten LA last year without big baby?

Highly unlikely,
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

Highly unlikely,

Big Baby's failure to keep in shape and lose weight will kill his career. Has nothing to do with how well he played in 2009 and 2010.

  • Rondo = Good
Haslem is way more fit / athletic.
Never forget the Champs of '08, or the gutsy warriors of '10.

That's exactly what Glen Davis does.

has a nice simple little jumpshot from 15-18 ft out,

That jumpshot killed BB this year.  He hit it for a few games in November and ever since then he forgot what he was supposed to be doing and just taking that shot everytime.

BB is what he is at this point and just not worth the money he's going to want.

I really can't believe all the shots people are taking at Perk for playing when he's not healthy yet. It's been less than a year since that serious knee injury.
