Very strange, out of the blue.

I wonder if this had anything to do with the recent rumor that Cho wanted to suspend Brandon Roy for speaking out to the media about his frustrations with not playing in Game Two of the Blazers-Mavs series.

Very, very strange. And a little sad, too. Blazers dumped Kevin Pritchard a while back, and still haven't quite recovered.

Poor form by the Blazers, but someone's gonna need to start answering for those injury prone franchise players at some point. New blood isn't a terrible idea imo.

Hard to show confidence or portray authority / leadership when you don't actually have it + the media has told the whole world that you don't have it.

A GM has to have the freedom + authority to do his job.

You can't have a guy in charge and then undercut him publicly.

The minute that happened, it was over. It was going to end badly, only choice (and best choice left) was to end it quickly and Portland did that.

Agreed.  And I think Cho should be happy.  That was a situation destined to fail.  That organization is falling apart.

With their $$ and desire to win, it's hard to believe they've had such little success
